balanced bodywork & massage

My husband and I traveled to French Lick in October to celebrate our anniversary. I was planning a spa experience at one of the resorts and "happened" on this establishment on trip advisor while researching the French Lick area. This is a real gem and I highly recommend it. I had one of their October specials that included a facial and hot stone massage. The owner, Megan, did my facial and discussed her plans for a move to another location and her plans to include a boutique for women to find the unexpected girly surprise. Her current location is in a house within easy walking distance of the French Lick resort. She plans to move closer to the resort. My husband and I walked to the appointment and then he continued to explore the town. I do not like to talk during my treatments because I want to relax. However, Megan is an Esthetician and quite knowledgeable. She gave me a lot of helpful pointers about skin care for my age and even gave me a referral to an Esthetician closer to my home. She also gave me a pamphlet about skin care products. There was NO hard sell. In fact she was with another client and just left at front desk for me if I wanted to take. My facial was outstanding and I did feel quite pampered. Next was my hot stone massage. We talked very little and it was amazing. This was a massage, not just placing of stones as I have had other places. Regrettably I do not remember her name but I do hope she found her perfect wedding dress during her birthday trip to Louisville. If you are looking for a professional establishment that offers healthful benefits at a reasonable cost then this is the place for you. I never felt rushed nor did I feel the therapist was" watching the clock". In fact my appointment ran long and when I was settling my bill I found my husband relaxing on the comfy front porch. He had found his own relaxing area.

As we mentioned we are relocating to a new location and our facility will be an amazing SPA environment. My husband wanted to surprise me with a special treat for my birthday so he booked us a couple's massage as soon as we started planning our trip. The staff was wonderful and Megan, the owner, made sure everything went exactly as my husband planned. We had the sugar scrub. If they were closer I would make this a regular thing. The experienced staff and calm surroundings were everything you want when you have a massage.

I can't wait to come back to French Lick and check this place out again. I like that you can make reservations online. I booked a hot stone massage several days ahead of my planned arrival. I had read good reviews about Courtney, so I made the appointment with her. The owner, Megan, greeted me when I first got there and she was also very nice. My massage was wonderful. Courtney was very friendly and gave me a great recommendation of where to eat - The German Cafe. I wish I lived closer so I could go more often. It is not the cheapest spa in the area, but it is well worth every penny spent. You get what you pay for and I definitely felt I got my money's worth here. I highly recommend.

At Balanced Bodywork we strive to make every service a 5 star experience.. This is very shocking to us because each one of our tables is steel , hydraulic and all have NON-collapsible headrests. I'm worried that you may have in fact went to another spa by a similar name in West Baden. As our headrests don't have the ability to collapse as they are on a straight steel frame.
