In seeing the Amish on the outskirts of Fort Wayne, IN you come across the general store. A must stop to see all they have. Lots of hard to find items and local things. Great experience.

Very cute shop, but I have to say I was a little disappointed that they don't sell products from the local Amish community. I purchased noodles only to find that they actually order them in and rebag them and re-lable them as their own. I know this because I asked. Also, the apple butter is manufactured and shipped in. Also, while looking at the "homemade" looking items to buy, there is a lable "made in India". As I said, very cute shop. The staff was very friendly. Just a little disappointed.

Worth a visit to Grabill & there's truly something for everyone young to old at the General Store! They even have fresh baked goods, noodles, jams, and loads of fun old time candy + the new stuff too. Buy an old-fashioned coke in a bottle & look around!

We didn't realize how much there was in the General Store and surrounding shops! You can easily spend a couple of hours there! The coffee cabin is worth a stop!

This little gem is in the Amish community of Grabill,close to Fort Wayne. The store is just a lot of fun to go through. Everything is old time general store, pickles in old jars, all kinds of candy that maybe you haven't heard of in years, different flavors of soda that you may have forgot existed. Doesn't cost to browse but i'll bet you can't leave without something!
