This is a reasonably sized and priced waterpark. Enough space for kids up to about 11-12 years old to have some independence. Because it is reasonably priced, it gets really crowded on hot days. Go early or late to enjoy as many of the amenities as you can.

If you happen to go here when its not crowded you can have a wonderful time. But! If you don't, expect to wait in lines, lines, lines. The one time we went with our grandson we ended up asking for a refund (which they don't do) because it was soooo crowded it was almost standing room only and that is no exaggeration. They did offer tickets to come back but we let them lapse. The park is fairly small but has a lot to offer so it can draw huge crowds. It is located in an area of dense population so you have to time your visit well. It has water slides, wave surfing, pools and lanes. Just a beautiful place the kids will love, IF.

Very up to date experiences available locally for all ages in a clean environment. Loved the river rafting.

Favorably impressed with price of admission, price of food, work ethic of lifeguards and other workers, wonderful variety of water activities for all ages, friendliness of staff, behavior of crowd, plenty of pool furniture, etc. Really have no negative comments.

We went to this water park for the sole purpose to use the Flowrider. The water park is home to the only Flowrider in Indiana. Aside from the Flowrider we did enjoy the use of the other amenities, the pools, water slides and lazy river are all great as well. The water park is priced moderately at only $10 pp. The food is all a great value, one thing that I did notice was the lockers you need to bring your own lock.We will be back!

Huge pools, good locker rooms, amenities galore for the price of membership. Also had a business meeting there a year ago, meeting space is ideal for offsite destination, followed by a round of team-building basketball!

I have been using the Monon for toddler swimming sessions for approx 6 months and we love it! Just signed on to use the water park and could not be happier! My 3 year old and 4 year old loves it! !

If you like outdoor water aerobics classes, you will love the program at the Monon Waterpark! Every day there is a 8:00 am water track class (where you walk in the lazy river, either with the current or against the current) followed by a 9:00 deep water aerobics class (where you wear a safety belt, so you don't have to be a strong swimmer, and there is no stress on your knees and joints). Both classes take place before the pool is open to the public, so it is quiet and peaceful. Often you can listen to the birds chirping! The pools are heated, so it's not cold, even if the air temperature is chilly. What a great way to start your morning!

We usually go once a summer. For us it is close enough to bike (it is on the Monon trail). Last time we went near closing and received a discounted rate (last 2 hours I believe). Lazy river is our favorite. New wave machine for surfing was fun, too. The slides are fun, but they are pretty short. Tends to be crowded. Almost always recliners available.

There aren't too many water parks in central Indiana. This is a refreshing oasis of small water attractions. From small kids to early teens, your kids and family will have a good time. We recommend this as a get away when you are tired of the same old pool an looking for something different.

We visit this water park several times each summer. It is always crowded, but there is o much to do. My favorite is the lazy river, which is a nice size so you can keep children entertained for some time. The water slides have a height requirement , but are lots of fun. The main pool is usually too crowded to really enjoy it, so the kids keep busy with all the other attractions. The surf section is fun to watch, and the kids love riding the waves. Overall, the park is well supervised with plenty of lifeguards who all enforce the rules to keep kids from getting out of control.

I took my 10 year old son and his pal to the Monon Waterpark on Saturday afternoon so I could check out the Flow Rider that he'd been begging to try during the summer camp season with Carmel Parks & Rec (they went to this pool every Monday and Friday as part of the camp schedule). I wanted to see it for myself before I signed off on the waiver-more on that later. The park has options for both little ones and older kids, as well as adults. It has a very nice lazy river; a separate area with a diving board and slide that drops the kids a couple of feet before they hit the water; an open curvy slide; a closed curvey slide that you can use intertubes on; a lap pool; a relatively shallow pool area; and of course, the flow rider. I was impressed with the way the life guards were moving around constantly keeping an eye on people (much like Holiday World), regularly changing position to avoid getting lackadaisical. I was pleasantly surprised by how well the staff managing the flow rider were doing. The young lady at the top was helpful and nice to the kids, sharing information with newbies on how to start out. At the bottom of the ride was another staff member (a man with a tatoo of Indiana on the back of one calf and Ohio on the other) who was very helpful in showing kids what to do to once they got into the flow- he'd show they how to move back and forth, help them back on the board when they fell off, etc. Neither staff member seemed in a hurry to move kids along- they seemed more intent on each person having a fun ride. That was really great to see. Parents/guardians must read and sign an online waiver at a kiosk right inside the front gate for children to participate on the flow rider, fyi. They have a decent selection of "real" food and snacks at the little cafe, but note that you need to stay in that area to eat and drink. There are also cabanas around the edge of the property now for daily rental, but the fees seem exhorbitantly high- I believe I saw they were $135/day! (If you can afford $135 a day for a cabana at a public pool, you can probably afford a private pool.)My son's only complaint about the pool (both when we were there on the weekend and during his weekly trips with camp this summer) is that the main pool area has alot of "stuff" in the water- leaves, dirt particles, etc. I don't know what this is about other than lots of people coming and going. All in all, this is a great option near home for a day of fun!

Great place to lay in the lazy river or take a tube ride down the slide! There is something here for everyone of all ages. The flow rider is awesome as well!!!

The Monon waterpark is a wonderful place to take your children of all ages! There are so many water features that there is something for everyone. My favorite is the huge lazy river. My kids love the slides and the "surfing" area. I love that you can bring your own food with you to eat in designated picnic areas or you can purchase from the concession stand. The only drawback is being there on days when summer day camps bring busses of kids in. You can call ahead to see what the schedule is for that and then plan your trip around it.

This is a really nice public water park. It is very nice in the evenings when the crowds are less! Lifeguards are very alert and monitor the crowd very well!
