lubeznik center for the arts

I've been to a couple exhibits here (both solo and with a friend). It's very quiet (I usually go during the day). It's always interesting to see the different exhibits. There is a cute, small little gift shop inside with creative things to purchase in a variety of price ranges.This close to other attractions in Michigan City as well.They do ask for a donation but its not required.Time spent can vary depending on the exhibit and how quickly your moving through it.

The art collection in this small museum is extraordinary, and it changes every two months. In addition, Lubeznik gives all sorts of classes and offers art to children in the schools. It's a wonderful local resource with a great gift shop.

This is a nice arts center. The displays show some real talent. This place is hard to find. The signage leads you north to Washington Park, right past the driveway to the Arts Center, on the left. I have driven by this place several times, and never knew it was there, even though it was in plain sight. I had to use GPS to locate it.

I would have rated the Lubeznik Center for the Arts no more than average, had it been in a larger city. But for Michigan City, it's quite impressive. Definitely worth a visit. They had a variety of exhibits, one of which stimulated interesting conversation. The guide was more than enthusiastic, telling us about the variety of exhibits that they have and the community work that they do. If I pass that way during one of their "First Friday" events, I'll definitely stop by. If I lived in the area, I'd make it a point to stop by occasionally.

This lovely museum offers a variety of art exhibits that change over time. It is easily accessible, modern and clean. Check out their website for events and openings to see if it is something you would like to try. The guides are friendly and helpful.

This art center offers numerous exhibits and events which accompany exhibits throughout its showing. A must visit is to the art gallery gift shop which offers a huge variety of art and one of a kind gifts for all ages at all price points!

Lubeznik Center for the Arts is a gem of an art center. We love to go for the First Friday's @ 5 pm celebration. There are terrific displays of all kinds and very interesting, creative items for sale in the gift shop. It's well worth a stop.

Boring shows, rarely to they show anything worth seeing. The staff wants to know your financial status before deigning to say hello.

Artist exhibits always vary and offer a wide selection of unique items to purchase for your home, or as a great gift.

They have a wonderful staff that goes out of their way to ensure there's a fresh exhibit on a regular basis. They bring in professionals for public classes. It's a great place for adults and children alike.

The exhibits change every six weeks or so, check their web site. Amazing things roll through this small town gem. LCA is right on the lake and boasts a cute little gift shop and wonderful programs for children throughout the year. I would make it part of my trip to Michiana, Lighthouse Place Outlets, the beach, etc. wonderful place full of culture and passionate folks.

This is a nice local museum. It is good for Michigan City to have an art museum. Entrance is free, but a donation is suggested. When I went they had a display about Michigan City's North End. As far as I could tell there were three galleries, the brochure says four, but I never found the fourth. There is also a small gift shop with local art and jewelry for sale. I walked around pretty slowly and read all of the captions and it took me an hour to go through this place. Overall, it's a nice local place but fairly small and I wouldn't drive out of my way to see it. It would be better as an add-on to an already planned trip to the area.
