Nice walk around a beautifully decorated tribute to the veterans. Spend some time and really look and read.

This is truly an impressive memorial to the veterans of all wars who have given so much to our country.

The Community Veteran's Memorial is an outstanding monument to our armed forces throughout the major wars of the 20th century. Giving details of various battles and timelines it gives the viewer a heartfelt recount of our servicemen and women. Highly recommend spending the time.

Take your family. It's a beautiful place for remembrance and a peaceful place to pray for those that have served.

This is a lovely place to visit when the weather permits. Great tribute to our veterans! The grounds are very pretty and well kept w/lots of flowers and manicured grass. Also time line bricks along the walk are a virtual history lesson. Purchased a brick for my son there, as he is an Afghanistan and Iraq veteran. A wonderful place to visit if you haven't been there.

We have been hear a handful of times. You can purchase a stone in memory of a loved one that has served for his or her country. We purchased one for my dad who was in WWII. They have sections from all the wars, its really a beautiful place, they did a fantastic job planning the Memorial and it is so worth the trip to see what our brave men and women have sacrificed for the freedom we have today.

It brought tears to our eyes when you realize the sacrifice made by all veterans in all wars! We took our Boy Scout Troop here a. Few years ago and hearing the boys comments was priceless. This is a free attraction located just a few minutes down Calumet Avenue. Great tour bus stop. Great restaurants along the way or a few minutes past. There are life size sculptures and tribute bricks to pave the way of local veterans. This exhibit is about a block long and features a helicopter, hills, and various weapons used in the wars. Please stop by..open air with parking within a few feet. Great Job!

We stopped here on the spur of the moment and were amazed at the beauty and the thought that went into it. Thank you for a wonderful tribute to all that made it possible.

Overall a well done overview of the different conflicts America has faced this century. You really don't expect something this well done by a local community with resources much less then big museums or state and federal governments. It is in a walking timeline format that leads from one conflict to the next with great sculpture and garden plantings to highlight and separate each era. There were several audio stations as well and of course the integration of the artifacts like the Huey helo and artillery like you might see at any VFW gives you lots of good visual and something for the kids to touch. My grandkids got to interact (read climb on) as well which they enjoyed but I had to stay on my toes to catch them from going too far.

My father is a world war II vet, I am so very proud of him and so happy that his name is one a stone in this park! he was so very young when he went to war and had to grow up quickly, this war had an effect on the rest of his life. Bad memories and even some really bad dreams but I am so happy that they did take some land and made a special place for all the people who went to war weather they wanted to go or not! this is a must see park!from a very proud daughter! Dad I love you!

What was a pie shaped piece of land...now becomes a very interesting memorial...goes through the years of various conflicts with very realistic exhibits...a great tribute to American's soldiers.Free parking adjacent to the park. Statues done by well know Chicago artist...

D.C.'s may be more somber, but Munster's gives a more in-depth overview of the Korean War's effects and machinery. Flowery park setting is dignified, but tends to clutter the exhibit stations. Again, very well done - especially for an Indiana town location.
