mccloud nature park

I can't believe we live so close and have never been to this park until today. It is beautiful. Our walk along the snow covered trails was perfect on this sunny March afternoon. Lots of animal prints and many birds to see. Woodpeckers are so active right now. The maple trees are filling buckets with maple sap and it is truly a beautiful place. I can't wait to visit at other times during the year to see all of the changes. So, get out of the house and go fora visit. You will be glad that you did.

Nice small museum. Lots of trails, nice old steel bridge. Scenic along river. Wish I could go more. ..................................................................

I went to check it out on an cold damp December morning with my dog. Didn't know much about it just happens to stumble upon it on the web and though I would give it a try. Not much in the way of information "signage" so just walked around the Some trails not sure where they went But came across some nice scenery and I am planning on coming back in the spring to see the whole park. The park does connect to private land so during hunting season be prepare to hear gun shot as I heard several.

Wonderful park with picnic tables, nature center and many family picture perfect spots. If you love the outdoors, this is a great place to spend your day!

Went here on a Saturday afternoon for the grandson's to walk the prairie maze. Didn't even look interesting to the 3 & 5 yr. old grandson's. Some nice areas to walk but not much more to do at all. Small nature center with not very much inside. They say the park is growing but as of now don't look for a lot to do there.

Formerly The Rave in Metropolis Shopping Mall. 18 screens, clean, comfortable seating. Of course popcorn and snacks. Go there quite often.

This nature park is awesome. There are classes, events, trails, wonderful spots for picnics. Great for 1 person or an entire group of people! Must visit for a day in the outdoors.
