My family has a farm in Vevay, so of course we come here all the time. It is a fantastic and fascinating museum. There are actually 3 museums, two downtown and another west of downtown. The main museum is inside the old Presbyterian church, and has all kinds of things related to the history of Switzerland County. Next to it, inside an old warehouse, is the Life on the Ohio Museum, which has detailed models of original ferries and artifacts from ships. They also operate the Thiebaud Farmstead, located about 2 1/2 miles west of downtown, which is a new museum. It is a historic farm that is now very well restored and is only open for a few hours on sunday, so this is not open the hours the hours the main museums are. If you are in the area, definitely come here. It has always been one of my favorite museums, and this is from someone who has been all over the world.
