I wasn't expecting this to be a candy store alone. When I think of a dime store, I think of a variety store like from my childhood years. However,this place is a candy store. There are great selections of candy, many retro brands, as well as fudge, chocolates, jelly beans of many flavors and colors. Good stuff, but not cheap, certainly more than a dime.

This store is not just a trip back in time with all of the novelty candies from long ago, it is an adventure. The store is famous for their Jumbo Jelly Beans, larger than any jelly bean you've ever seen They have dozens of flavors and combinations, plus specialty jelly beans like their Polished Stones Jelly Beans. The jelly beans look like polished pieces of turquoise, marble, granite and other stones, and the flavors are awesome.The best part of all? THEY HAVE FREE SAMPLES OF EVERY JELLY BEAN FOR SALE!! Yes, each jelly bean type has a dispenser with sample jelly beans for you to "try before you buy". Not sure if you like cinnamon, or how strong is their licorice jelly beans? No problem, try one before you decide to buy.The store is located in a small village shopping center. Amish and Mennonite locals are frequently stopping in or seen traveling through town, and the entire area is quaint and charming. Diabetic? No problem, they even have some sugar-free candy too!

This candy store has old school candy and sweets for all ages. Jumbo jelly beans are $4.50 a pound or three pounds or $12 and the shelves are lined with wrapped candies and taffy of all kinds. It was worth the trip to find black jelly beans, slow pokes, squirrel nut zippers and Mary Janes.

This was an amazing off the beaten path find, an old fashioned dime candy store in the heart of Old Order Mennonite Country. The shop was large, clean and the employees were really friendly. There are many old time candies that will bring you back to your childhood, plenty of local Amish and Mennonite Goods as well. Don't forget to try one of their famous Jumbo Jelly Beans (Free Samples)!!
