We're happy you enjoyed shows at the MAGNIFICENT MORRIS! Last week we hosted a variety of shows with John Mellencamp opening his SOLD OUT "Plain Spoken" tour 1-21, State Ballet Theatre of Russia presented "Swan Lake" 1-22, and the national Broadway tour of SISTER ACT 1-23 and 1-24.
Glad you enjoyed the show!
Dinner/show ticket packages are offered for many shows at the Morris and feature preferred seating in the theater. Patrons enjoy a delicious dinner in an elegant atmosphere and afterwards are just steps or an elevator ride away from their theater seats.
This theater is absolutely gorgeous. It has been restored to its' original glory. As far as seating goes, if you can't get seats in the first half of the floor, then the mezzanine has a better view. I really think any of the seats would be fine. I probably wouldn't recommend the 3rd balcony if you can afford something closer. They often have dinner and show packages if you can't find any decent seats to buy.
This is a wonderful historic theatre. The theatre is a smaller intimate feel and you close to the performer! Cons: parking is iffy and the street in the front of the theatre has strange access, it is difficult. The seating is comfortable, the acoustics are wonderful. Drink prices are high, but they are for any event today. The theatre makes good accomadations for wheelchairs.
This is an awesome, historic theatre to watch any event! They remodeled it a few years ago and did a fabulous job. The feel of the theatre is amazing, taking you back into the day. The sound is amazing. There's little to none parking at the theatre itself but there are a couple of parking garages within walking distance. If you get the chance I would definitely recommend seeing an event here.
We're so glad you enjoyed WICKED so much at the Morris! The cost for show tickets, parking, gas, tolls, etc., is more to see see national traveling Broadway shows, concerts, and comedians in Chicago than to see the same shows at the Morris in South Bend.
We're happy to know that you enjoyed several shows at the Morris! Convenient event parking is available in a lot adjacent to the Morris Center operated by the Downtown South Bend organization, at the public garage on the corner of Main and Colfax, and at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel/1st Source Bank Complex. Parking is also available on the streets within walking distance of the Morris and also at the Leighton Center on Washington Street between Main and Michigan Streets.
Thank you for your positive comments about your experiences at the "MAGNIFICENT" Morris! It's always great to learn that patrons have enjoyed coming to see shows and concerts at the Morris.
Thank you for your feedback on your experience at the MOVE LIVE ON TOUR show. Your comments regarding the box office and ushers will be given to the Box Office Manager and Operations Supervisor of the volunteer ushers. This was a completely sold out and very busy show; however, we want all patrons to have a great experience when they come to shows at the Morris.
We at the Morris are happy that you enjoy coming to see shows!
We have seen many concerts and shows at the Morris through the years. This beautiful theatre has been restored and is a real joy to go to. The only bad seats were at a recent concert with Brit Floyd. The speakers on each side of the stage were so big that it blocked part of the view. For most shows this is not a problem. They serve alcoholic drinks, although somewhat pricey. And you can take them to your seat!!
We're so happy to hear that you enjoy your visits to the MAGNIFICENT Morris Performing Arts Center! The Morris does have some larger seats located on the main floor. Patrons can phone the Box Office directly at 574-235-9190 or 800-537-6415 to inquire about these seat locations.
We're happy to hear that you enjoy your experiences at the Morris! The theater does have some larger seats on the main floor. Patrons can call the Box Office at 574-235-9190 or 800-537-6415 and staff will be happy to assist with these seat locations.
The Morris does have different size seats and does have larger seats in the theater to accommodate larger size people. When purchasing tickets, patrons can inquire at the Morris Box Office about the location of larger seats. If there is a seating problem the night of a show such as seat size, view of stage, person seated in row ahead wearing large hat, etc., patrons can go to the Box Office and staff will try to relocate the person to a different seat. Although the Morris was almost sold out for the Earth, Wind & Fire concert on 11/02/2013, we are sorry that one of the volunteer ushers did not offer to assist you with this.We will certainly look into your comments about the usher's attitude and will take appropriate action.
