If you love motorcycles you will enjoy this experience. Who would think that on the prairie OK KS one would find this treasure of vintage bikes. It is a history lesson on motorcycling. There are many examples of Harleys and Indians. Then there are more obscure bikes such as Hendersons. The lady that runs the place is very cordial and welcoming. All of this for a free will donation.
Finding this Museum with trophy lined walls and EVERY kind of motorcycle from around 1910 through 2000 was AMAZING. Harleys, Thors, EARLY bikes, military Harleys and a military BSA! Japanese bikes, dirt bikes even old Cushman and Mustang scooters. If you love motorcycles or mechanical things you MUST see this. It is like finding the Air Force Museum in the middle of rural Kansas. Be prepared to spend HOURS if you really want to see it all. There is a nearby diner where the wife & I had cheeseburgers, the onion rings were VERY good and I recommend taking a lunch break, buying a t-shirt and leaving a donation so others can see it in the future. The wall of trophies is from the founder, he raced Harley's since the late 1940's, his wife runs it now. There is a LOT of history here, even a BMW ridden around the world. My wife found it interesting and enjoyed lunch, and I LOVED it!
Great collection of all things motorcycle and more. Staff very informational. Runs on donations. We were more than happy to donate. Kids and adults loved it here. Definitely stop by!
In the little town of Marquette, KS, lives a great place for motorcycle enthusiasts of all ages. They have a wonderful display of vintage and more modern bikes of all shapes and sizes. This museum was founded by Stan Engdahl who lived motorcycles and after his death, became a great tribute to a man who loved racing and riding. Worth the stop. No actual fee but there is a suggested donation at the door. Museum is run completely on donations.
