Went to the Kansas Star regularly when they first opened their doors. You would hear on the overhead announcement jackpot wins about every 2 minutes. Now we can be in there on a Friday or Saturday night and you might hear one announced every 1/2 hour or so. It was fun to take a hundred dollars and maybe get lucky and turn it into $300. Or at least be able to play for several hours on it. Now we are usually in and out in less than a hour but really don't get there much any more. The food was decent too. Loved that little place in the back of the "first casino" before they moved that you could get a mini pizza or a hamburger; fresh, hot, good and quick and your slot dollar points usually paid for it. When they first opened the buffet in the new area it was pretty good too. It just about makes us sick now. Hard and dried up lukewarm food in warming pans and absolutely nothing fresh looking and nothing ever changes. Too bad things going this direction.....Glad Wichita didn't pass the vote and get it now!!! Too easy to drive for an extra 45 minutes and go to Oklahoma. Maybe not as fancy but machines pay way better.

Good times here! Not a slots player, but a variety of machines. Blackjack tables were fun! Dealers were friendly and helpful. Enjoyed my little $5 hands with a group of mix-level players. None were too serious though!! Fun spot!!
