I cannot say enough about the wonderful people on this ranch. From the person on the phone who books your ride to the people who guide you on the trail ride, they are all amazing people. My six year old daughter wanted to horseback ride so badly but I was hesitant to let her go on a big horse. I worried about letting her ride a horse alone and spent lots of time speaking with the staff to ensure her safety. They were amazing, and put my fears to rest. They led her the entire way and we had a blast. The horses are very well trained and the guides are funny, friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely come back to the island just to do this excursion again!

We are from Hawaii and do the stacation adventures as I call them! This is money well spent! The staff is great, horses are great with kids, and most of all the land is breathe taking!! My daughter is 7 and she did great! Thank you to the staff for your kindness!

Our family of four including our 20 and 18 year old daughters had a wonderful time riding horses at Happy Trails. My husband and I were a little anxious since we had never ridden a horse before but it was so relaxing and the scenery was absolutely beautiful. The horses were very tame. My daughter wore her Go Pro and got the best pictures. Mark and Elizabeth were very knowledgeable, nice, and helpful. We would definitely recommend this to anyone. It was a perfect start to our vacation!

Great for family and friends. Fun rides. Friendly hosts. One of the best activities I've had in Hawaii! Strongly recommend. Price is reasonable. You got to book it early especially during Christmas season.

Just took my family of 4 and we had a great time. No one apart from myself had ridden a horse before. They all had a smile on their face the whole time. The instructions at the start were good and the horses were fantastic. The scenery was beautiful and the guides were very laid back and knowledgeable. I would recommend this experience to anyone visiting Oahu.

We have been here twice and having travelled along the U.S. west coast, three Hawaiian Islands and midwest, I will say this is the most peaceful, stress free place I've ever had a trail ride. The first time we went, my horse-loving 10 year old daughter and my non-animal loving 8 year old son rode. Even my son enjoyed the entire ride and was eager to return. On the 2nd trip my non-animal loving husband actually took our daughter for her birthday and the staff was so wonderful that even HE wanted to go back. They are punctual, efficient and just interactive enough without being invasive. We'll be back many times in the future!

Visiting Happy Trails Hawaii was a highlight during my stay on the North Shore. The owner and his staff were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Guests were offered star fruit before the tour which was a real treat. Whether you are a beginner or experienced at horseback riding, I would recommend making a point to go here if you are in the area.

Really satisfied with this lovely ranch!Me and my daughter took a tour together and the horsesu were very calm and nice!My daughter is 5 and it was no problem!Beautiful horses in a beautiful environment. The owner Mark, you can tell, is a good horse-man!:)

I visited Happy Trails on November 18th 2014 and had am absolute wonderful and relaxing time. Mark and his staff are very excited about their ranch and will go out of their way to assist you with anything or question you have. There is a great view of the ocean. I will definitely be going back.

First time going to happy trails and I've been to a few different horseback riding places! I would have to say that happy trails is the best one!!! All the horses and workers are extremely friendly!! Very open to all inexperienced riders!!! Even have chickens and a cute dog running around!! Great place!!!

It was our first time visiting Hawaii as a family, with our 10 and 7 year-old daughters. The fun of each one being able to ride their own horse made them feel in heaven. Our guide, Mark, was OUTSTANDING, being friendly, attentive and constantly looking for ways to make our experience memorable. I RECOMMEND IT 100%, especially for families with children. THEY WILL NEVER FORGET IT!

Took my wife and middle daughter here for their horse-riding appointment. The receiving area didn't look very good - not a lot of effort to please customers but my wife and daughter enjoyed riding the trail. They enjoyed themselves and would do it again. My only suggestion is to make the receiving area more hospitable.

Remembered reading about Happy Trails and all the good reviews, then realized I was about 1 mile away and decided to stop in. Found out that you typically need reservations, but they were able to fit us in! The guy who runs this (Mark) is a really a great guy. He gave us instructions on riding, then the group went on the riding tour through the Hawaiian hills. It was pretty riding through the hills and seeing all the sights. The foliage is very interesting, and the ocean view at the end is breathtaking. The horses are all highly trained polo horses and really don't need much instruction from you. You just get on and they do the rest. When we were done, Mark gave us some bananas (they were awesome) and a recommendation for a little beachside restaurant nearby (Sharks Cove). The Mahi was awesome and the view is beautiful. What a great way to end our trip to Hawaii! Make sure you include this on your plans. Kids and adults alike will have a great time! Thanks again Mark! I brought my husband to happy trials for his very first riding experience and it was such an incredible experience! mark and the staff really know these horses and I was very impressed by how much they love and care for them! the ride itself was wonderful with some of the most gorgeous views I've ever seen! the horses are so well behaved that even my husband (who is not a horse person and was previously terrified of the idea of riding) was quickly put at ease. I would definitely call this a MUST DO while visiting the island!!

Mark runs an awesome operation. His "polo ponies" are bombproof. We took our two kids, 11 and 7, who had never really ridden before. They LOVED it. Christy was our guide; a really nice young woman who gave every one a quick lesson on how to handle their horses. The landscape / trail was fabulous and we got to see lots of the local trees and plants. Strongly recommend you do this if you are in Oahu; nice break from the normal beach stuff.
