Peninsula State Park is a must when traveling to Door County. You can bike, hike, go to the beach and play. Don't forget to climb the tour too to see the great views!

I grew up camping at Peninsula State Park with my family. We always brought our bikes along and were never bored. Now that my significant other has a place in Door County, we buy our yearly park sticker here and take a drive through each time we are in town. We had a great bike ride through the park last summer and I'm looking forward to that again. There are a lot of great views as you drive through the park. It's fun to see the colors in fall and the ice on the bay in the Winter. We had fun watching the kids sled down the big hill this year and are definitely bringing our sleds next time!

Enjoyed snowshoeing on Nicolet Bay and hiking the trails. We had a snowfall and the views throughout the park were fantastic.

While my husband hit the groomed trails, I took our granddaughter and daughters sledding down a hill with a view of the bay.

Beautiful park right downtown FishCreek. It's easy to navigate, you can camp, go on hiking trails, bike ride and have picnics. We love going to Nicolette Bay and have a picnic. There are picnic tables, bathrooms sand volleyball area, and the lake is so pretty. Great way to spend a day with family, friends or alone.

The view from this point of land is spectacular and inspiring. We Midwesterners feel we must go elsewhere to see incredible scenery. NOT TRUE! Go to Peninsula State Park in gorgeous Door County. Huge trees, miles of lake viewing, cool breezes and wonderful walking trails. For those who have no problems with heights (unlike me) do climb the tower. This is Wisconsin at it's best. Wild, beautiful, accessible and family friendly. The camp sites look wonderful and as usual the facilities are Wis. class---that is clean and well maintained. I am an enthusiastic champion of Family Camping. Try this marvelous park and you will be convinced too.

my fiance and I made our first trek up to door county and spent a lot of our time hiking, biking and exploring Peninsula State Park. Great selection of trails and paths. The view from Eagle Tower is one of a kind. All the trails and maps are well labeling, making it nearly impossible to get lost.

We usually drive through & stop for views, pictures, relaxation. The old cemetery was a surprise! We enjoyed a play, "full house" under the stars.

Walking or snow shoeing your way through frozen, forested landscapes with views of the bay. Not a bad way to spend a little time away from it all. Love our State Parks, and this is no exception!

We saw 1 bald eagle, climbed the eagle tower, and had fun zooming around on our bikes looking at the gorgeous leaves. Water is around this park, so many scenic spots for pictures. Scenic yet there are people around so you feel safe. Campers are here all year long so hard core.

Peninsula State Park is, in a word, beautiful. It has something for everyone: bird watchers, campers, golfers, hikers, kayakers, light house aficionados, picnickers, snowshoers, etc. We enjoy driving along Shore Drive, which is very close to the waters of Green Bay. The park is large, and spans the bay between Ephraim and Fish Creek. One can enter the park in Ephraim, and exit in Fish Creek, or vice versa. It is a state treasure.

Great place to hike and the views are outstanding! Taking the trolley thru the park is also a great way to see the park.

If you're anywhere near Fish Creek and Door county, you have to spend some time in "The Park." I've been there dozens of times and done almost everything the park has to offer, but there are a few truly incredible gems that stand out:1) Hiking. No difficult hikes, really, but many family friendly hikes. The best is the Eagle Trail that takes you below the limestone bluffs, along the shore, and then back up, finishing with a chance to climb a tall observation tower. This hike is not to be missed. If you only do one thing, do this.2) If you are so inclined, take in a live play at the American Folklore Theater. Their stage is deep in the park woods. All performances are original works, and family friendly. The musical comedies are all gems that have fun with local culture and stereotypes. AFT is a real treasure.3) If it doesn't creep you out too much, find the shelter along the water across from the entrance Welker's Campground. Then join others there at dusk as hundreds of bats fly out to feed. It's completely safe, but not everyone has the inclination for it.4) Take a bike ride along the sunset trail. You can rent bikes at the park entrance and take your time on the paved route. You'll make it to the beach where you can stop for some ice cream or a snack before going back.5) Just outside the park is a fabulous local drive in movie theater showing double features. If you like the movie(s) it's a nostalgic treat.

I came to Door County to participate in the Century Bike Tour. One of our rest stops was in Peninsula State Park. The ride through the park and the view as I stopped to rest/snack was exceptional. The following day, my husband and I biked through the park on a more leisurely trip; so much to see and share!

We were able to walk to the park, but one day we decided to drive so we could go through the whole park and see the fall colors. There is a fee, but it is nominal and well worth the amount.We stopped at places that were photo friendly and took hikes when we found an appealing trail. Our day was perfect for fall colors and blue skies.Right outside the park is Fish Creek (the creek itself). We were able to see salmon spawning. It's a phenomenal part of nature. Make sure you check out that area.
