always stop here when we travel to wisconsin...cheese fudge! yummy!!!oh and the red velvet balls and the carrot cake ones and the petite fours..it is just all good!!
Amazing things you can find in the store! 4 stores all connected together! Fresh cheese and sausages! Home decor and clothing!
Stopped here and several other cheese shops in the area. Was not impressed. No good deals except on some cheese fudge. Much better prices and samples at Alp & Dell Cheese Store.
I was excited about going here! My mom was along for the ride. When we walked in she turned into a kid in a candy store. She was so excited at the offers. These prices were amazing!!! And what they had to offer was amazing. They had their hams for $6!! If you look in the catalogue you will know what a steal that is. They had their cheese cakes for $4! I could go on and on. My mom went crazy stocking up for christmas gifts for Thanksgiving appetizers and desserts. She has a extra freezer and I'm sure she filled it. She had beyond a cart full and spent $70. If she bought everything she did through the catalogue she would have spent hundreds! We also had a question about a product and the worker did not know she offered to go back and ask their main person. She was so pleasant and very helpful. They have free samples to try a lot of products. And they have yummy cheese fudge. Believe me try it!! Something tells me this will be an annual trip for us. If you are in the area or live close go!! This storm also connects to several other outlets. They do not have walls between them. So we browsed through the other stores as well. If you like shopping and great finds this is a great stop.
I used to live in the area, and if you're in Monroe, you almost HAVE to stop in. They have large cheese selections and sampling, a large bakery selection, and an even bigger area of the 7th Avenue Outlet which is always fun to browse through (houseware, home décor, clothing, electronics, anything you can imagine). Prices are really reasonable because you're buying factory-direct on the bakery, and hands down my favorite item to stock up on here is the bulk bags of petit fours. The bags are unmarked, but really - who cares when they are $1.99 for that many?! It's like a mystery bag that you know will include some yummy flavor of cake and frosting. Definitely worth it! Gather lots of different ones and enjoy the surprise. Also a great place to stock up on cheese. I recommend this stop to all of my friends and family!
We stop here every time we are in town. We stock up on the bulk chocolate and some sausage. At times they have great deals on cheese with a price as low as $1.99 a pound. We picked up a frozen ham for $1.00 a pound. Could not pass it up.
We stopped in not knowing what to expect and were very surprised by the selection and prices. Some cheeses selling for $1.00/ pound, but you have to look carefully for them. Lots of other discount areas in the same location also as one large store without walls selling clothes and more. A very interesting experience to say the least.
We love getting the Swiss Colony Catalog around the holidays, so when we found out there was a outlet store we decided to stop. We have been to outlet malls (Tangor) and other outlet stores (Russell Stover's and Lodge Cast Iron) so our expectations were a bit high. There are other stores (5th Ave., Montgomery Wards, and one other I can't remember) all under one roof and each store has one 12 X 12 room. Selection is slim, prices are ok. After looking around we decided to buy a couple beef sticks (like Slim Jim's) a bag of petit fours, and a couple other items. The beef sticks were very good, the petit fours had no other info other than the price. We thought they were an assortment. Later on we opened the bag in our hotel room, to find out every one of them were orange. Had the label said that we would not have purchased them as neither my wife or I like artificial orange and sometimes I have a reaction to orange flavorings. Needless to say we were very disappointed and threw them in the trash.
A group of us stopped by on our way home from the New Glarus Brewery. I wish I had a bigger cooler in my car. There were a lot of great bargains. We bought a 2 pound wheel of brie for $2.99, what a deal. You need to take you time and look through the cases. We were told that you can freeze cheese which made us buy more.
Located in a strip mall...with multiple stores in it...the Swiss Colony had some awesome deals!! Awesome cheese deals!!
