This waterpark is very small in comparison to waterparks in Wisconsin Dells. The biggest problem here is that it is way overcrowded. They also sell day passes which makes it even more crowded.
So Close to Chicago and Southern Wisconsin. Blue Harbor is right on the shores of Lake Michigan. Fun Water park without the crowds like Wisconsin Dells. Good food, great staff. Would highly recommend staying over night. In the summer they have fire pits where you can roast marsh mellows and be within a stones throw of the beach and water.
Fun place but we were really disappointed they took out some smaller kids slides. They wouldn't let you go down the slides with your kid either. Still, our daughter had a great time. Parking was a little difficult.
Beautiful resort on the shores of Lake Michigan. Beautiful rooms, nice spa, great water park, and access to the beach. This is a wonderful place for the kids and there are some great restaurants in Sheboygan. If you are looking for a place to take your family with something for everyone this is the place for you. Reasonable prices and suites are available. The food at the resort is ok but as mentioned earlier the restaurants in Sheboygan are wonderful. Sheboygan is a wonderful Lake Michigan town that is beginning to become a tourist destination. The Art Museum is world class, the town All American with cool shops, and you are 20 minutes from Kohler !
Nice, but when we went, it was very hot and humid. It also smelled like chlorine really bad. We love it, but just need some things to work on
This is a wonderful indoor water park for small children. Everything is compact and easy to keep track of little ones and has a nice lazy river and hot tub for adults to relax and unwind. The slides are on the smaller scale which makes it perfect for families with small children.
Stayed here for a coup,e nights while my wife attended some meetings. Obviously it was the cold season so outdoor activities were limited. On the other hand there is a a large attached indoor water park that was a big hit with families that had kids. We had a large lake front room that had a gas fireplace. There was a problem with our shower draining and after contacting the front desk it was fixed within 15 minutes!! Room had a small fridge and coffee pot.
We have visited Blue Harbor twice and both times have been a great experience for our family. We have three kids 8, 5, and 2 years, and all were able to enjoy the water park. The themed family suites are roomy and fun. We plan to return soon.
Visited Breaker Bay(actual water park name)and Blue Harbor for a birthday. If you are a water park enthusiast ease move on. Park co sists of small lazy river, hot tub, 2 tube and 2 body slides. There is also the dumping bucket and a small splash area for toddlers. The slides were pretty good bit get old after a bit. Lifeguards very diligent.I was impressed by their focus. They were even doing training exercises. Room we were in was basic with the smallest bathroom I have where seen in a hotel. The hallways were probably more impressive than the rooms....build up for let down. For $180/night you could do better. New flo rider coming to the park may be fun. Make park larger and more of an attraction then it could be better.
We've both stayed here in one of the condos which sleep a lot of people (4 bedrooms: 1=queen, 1=queen with a set of bunks, 1=king, and 1=3 queens), as well as having come just for the day to enjoy the waterpark (they sometimes have a limited number of wristbands available). Slides and the lazy river are fun, but other than that it's just basically a pool. Lifeguards are on duty at all times and keep a close eye on the swimmers. Average food is available for purchase. Get there early as the tables fill up and it can be difficult to find a place to keep your stuff about an hour after the waterpark opens. When staying in accomodations you can check in early (but may not be able to access your room yet) and can start enjoying the water facilities, as well as when you check out you can still swim the rest of the entire day.
We just strolled through the hotel and it was a beautiful place to see. It was right on Lake Michigan. They have a built in water park there also.
Great fun for the kids. It was full but there was always something do to while we were there. there was some water or soaked areas to look out for.
The staff is accommodating, the service is fantastic, the views are beautiful however, and the Water Park and rooms are a bit dirty. There was algae on the steps of the slides, the waterpark bathrooms were dirty. The food in the hotel restaurants is poor to fair. Latitudes is overpriced and the food was just bad. It lacked seasoning, was overcooked and inconsistent temperatures on the same dish.. cold fish and hot risotto, cold fries and hot chicken tenders. The Beacon was 'okay' but you definitely don't get what you pay for. A little more attention to the quality and this place would be a 5 star resort.
Nice, clean, reasonable rates. The first floor rooms open up out to the lake. You can get out and walk along the lakeshore. There is a path all along the lake, you can go north to the pier and watch the shore fishermen (and women).... just a nice relaxing area.
Our family with kids aged 11, 14 and 19 had fun and so did my husband and I. A 30 minute game of water basketball sure beats everyone sitting around on the couch.
