It is a decent pretty old looking facility but you can't hardly beat bowling for $1 per game and $1 shoe rentals on a Monday evening.

Eat in the bar area or a separate dining room where you can talk. E have had their fish fry multiple times and it has a cornmeal texture coating, not a crunchy batter coating. Nice for a change. They also have a coupon in the local paper on the front cover. Non fish lovers have enjoyed their menu choices, also. Again, try it! Go local businesses!

We had a business meeting there for the company that I work for and they were very helpful and their pizza is excellent!!

The kids alway have a great time bowling. Especially with the free bowling in summer. Pizza is yummy. The place is always clean too.

Don't like the new owners....Guy was great. Everything has changed.

Our first time at Sussex Bowl led us through a cloud of cigarette smokers at the picnic table outside the front door. (Still a better alternative than smoking inside.) The TV's in the bar/lounge/restaurant area were turned up to near ear deafening range. We could barely hear each other speaking. Combine that with the bowling alley sounds... well, bring ear plugs. The bartender did turn the sound down to a reasonable level when we motioned that we couldn't hear each other speak. There are no waitresses on duty during the week, so food orders have to be given to the bartender who did an admirable job taking care of "everything" by himself. (If we hadn't asked... we would still be sitting there waiting for someone to bring us a menu and take our order.) Their menu is actually quite extensive and reasonably priced for the most part. There was a bit of a wait because they were having a funeral gathering in one of the larger rooms. So, they may provide some sort of banquet options... no idea.The atmosphere is friendly, once you figure out how to order food. And the restaurant area appears clean and well kept. We came in for pizza but we were told their kitchen is being remodeled, no pizza available... so we ordered beers and burgers. The beers were ice cold and filled right to the brim. And, the burgers (mine was swiss mushroom) were really, really good. They grill the buns and butter them. That makes all the difference. So, while the ambiance and the noise levels aren't 100% we "WOULD" go back and try a few other menu items (like the pizza).
