This was a wonderful time! We were visiting friends in Milwaukee, and they had heard good things about this brewery. $10 got us a free glass to take home (of course we all forgot ours at one place or another) and pretty much as much beer as you can drink, plus a chip you can take to any other place that sells their beer and get a free beer there! You can definitely be drunk by the end of the tour if you want to be. The tour lasted about an hour, but with breaks after 10 minutes for a beer break to refill. The tour guide was funny, and we all learned something! I would highly recommend this brewery tour. Some people even brought their very small children with them.

This place is pretty incognito, it's not real flashy and the first time we drove by not realizing it was the brewery. If you get there early for the first tour on the weekends, you can find a parking spot in the gated public lot. I have never seen children here, it is more adult oriented (and college kid oriented on the weekends!) because all you do is stand inside the brewery and drink...lots of beer! For $10 you get a cool pint glass (they change the pint glass every season, this last time we went it had snowflakes on it), the tour, and pretty much all you can drink beer for a couple of hours. DO NOT DROP YOUR PINT GLASS or the whole place will give you the most shameful BOO. This place is so laid back and so much fun, everytime we are in Milwaukee we wish we could stop by...but you can't just stop by MKE, you have to plan for it because it's an outing, and you definitely need to make sure you plan for dinner immediately after, preferably with a designated driver. If you don't have a designated driver, do walk next door or up the block to one of the restaurants to eat - it's just plain safer and much more fun that way. So get there early, park your car in the lot, and spend your evening at MKE and one of the several places to eat in the vicinity for a great time. If you like craft beer, this usually becomes everyones favorite brewery to tour, multiple times.

$10 gets you a keepsake glass and as much beer as you can consume in a two hour time period! Fortunately for our group (family with three adult children - not one of the category choices!), I was unable to drink due to being on medication and by default was the designated driver. I think this should be strongly encouraged! Our guide was funny and informative and I especially enjoyed hearing of their environmental practices (they were proud of them too). All in all, there was more drinking than tour but our group enjoyed it!

Came here with a large group of friends as walk-ins about half an hour before the tour was due to start and found that all the walk-in tickets were sold for that time. We opted to buy tickets for the tour beginning in an hour and our group of 12 bought out the rest of the tickets for that particular time. While we waited, we were given our free beer tokens (to be used at any of the listed establishments for a free beer) and hopped across the street to the gyro place to get our free beers and get an early start on the sampling. Since we still had time to kill after enjoying our free beers across the street, we lounged in the distillery's bar (attached to the brewery) before heading in.When our tour did begin, we were given a pint glass where we could have free refills on any beer, however, we were only permitted one refill of a high alcohol beer. Our tour guide was hilarious and let us taste the various stages of processed barley and take regular beer breaks. The wait for refills was less than a minute. The tour was about 40 minutes and worth the wait and $10!SHOW UP EARLY!

$10 gets you a keepsake glass and about as much beer as you can consume in a 2 hour time period! Fortunately for our group (family with three adult children, not one of the category choices!), I was unable to drink due to medication and by default was the designated driver. I think this should be strongly encouraged! Our guide was funny and informative and I especially enjoyed hearing of their green practices. All in all, there was more drinking than tour but our group enjoyed it!

Tom was a hilarious sarcastic your guide who led us through the basics of brewing while cracking sarcastic adult jokes.

I had so much fun here this past weekend! For 10 bucks, you can't beat it! Our tour guide was hilarious, very entertaining and didn't try to tell us things that weren't that interesting. Lots of chances for drinks too! I was very impressed. Elf's Lament and Oh-Gii, my new two favorite beers!!

Micro brewery was awesome. $10 gets you in and gets you a glass that you keep, a ton of beer to drink, and a tour. The tour guides are drinking and having fun with you and they are also entertaining. This was so much fun and I would love to go back.

I love beer and love breweries, and am a member of the 20something sect that drinks craft beer or none at all. But when in Milwaukee, go to the Miller Brewery, drink Miller, and have a great time. It's a very cool and very old brewery, and the tour guides are great.

Having visited dozens of microbreweries, the first impression was far from ideal: MBC is located in a grimy area south of downtown Milwaukee. Entrance nothing special. From there, a great experience. Easy check-in. Arrived 30 minutes prior to tour (it gets busy fast). For $10, given one token for a half-pint sample of a stronger beer or full pint or a normal offering. Beyond that, one can try as many of their 12+ beers on tap as they wish. Really enjoyed their diverse selection, including a handful of hoppy IPA offerings. Staff are all eager to please, a real warm atmosphere.Tour is broken down into four 10-minute sessions covering the main areas of production. In between each, a brief intermission where one could top up their half pint. Guide was fun and knew his stuff, offered a little more brewing depth than Lakefront. Particularly liked the explanation of why - contrary to popular belief - cans are superior to bottles (when using appropriate glassware). On the downside, did not like that one had to stand the entire time (not a single chair anywhere), and with tours arriving, it can get cramped around the bar.Nice to see many of their brews are available for purchase on site (fridge in the small hall to the right of the bar). Sad to hear there are folks smashing their tour glasses on the street. If you don't want the keepsake, leave it at the brewery...Overall, an awesome place and a rare tour where you truly get to taste their beer (and maybe see a hula hoop or two).Tip: Buy your tickets online in advance, as they often sell out and they do adhere to their strict caps. Saw a few walk-ons get rejected.

This was my second visit to the Milwaukee Brewing Company, and I was not let down. The tour is entertaining, educational and fun. Additionally, the brewery has a dozen solid beers on tap for sampling. I really like how the brewery rotates their selections, and any of the staff can answer questions about the beers. This is a small operation that runs lean and green. It’s great to see a packaging microbrewery in Milwaukee. If you visit, take the time to check out the beers that are available to take home. If they don’t have what you want in the cooler, the staff are happy to recommend a few places around town where you may be able to find the brews (if they are currently bottled/canned).The tour (or the open house) are definitely worth it!

Tour cost includes your pint glass, and, if my trip was anything to go by almost as much beer as you could, within reason, drink in an hour and half. Tour guide Tom was amusing and informative. We kept returning to the bar for a top up every ten minutes, they allow you to have samples halfan hour before each tour though only one of the strongest beer. I would suggest getting therehalf an hour before the tour as it is not a large facility and tour numbers are limited. The beeritself is very good.

This review can only help people plan! We were UNABLE to attend the tours because they were sold out. Now, I know, this is MY fault for not purchasing the tickets. HOWEVER. The website states that save about HALF of their tickets for walk ins. THIS IS EXTREMELY UNTRUE!!! We got there for the first tour. About 20 min before they even opened (after driving for 20 min trying to find this place). And we couldnt get in to buy tickets...werent open yet. Fine...we left and walked around. Came back 10 min AFTER they had opened. and they were all sold out except for their open house! HOW THE HECK IS THAT POSSIBLE???? I didnt buy my tickets in advance because we were planning outside things and didnt know what days rain was gonna happen. I can understand if we came 10 min before the tour starts and they didnt have any for that time frame, but they were sold out for the WHOLE day! before the 1st tour started! So disappointed. THat was the ONE thing my fiance wanted to do.

This was a fun tour to do, especially if you like craft beer. You definitely get more than enough during the entire tour, which is great (unless you have to drive afterwards). The tour guide was funny, entertaining and interesting in explaining to us how the brewing company got started and how it makes it beer. The location was in an interesting part of Milwaukee that I had no problem with, but I could view others that are not used to a big city might be a little unsure about it. If you like craft beer, I would highly recommend.

This is a small brewery with an average tour, but for $10 you get the average tour plus a total of 4 beer breaks. You get a full glass of beer to start, then about 3 additional half pours. The beer is good quality and the tour takes less than an hour. We had a good time.
