As an event designer we see this space used frequently for upscale and tastefully created weddings, mitzvah's and other special occasions. With a special patio space that can be tented and utilized as additional cocktail hour space, for food stations or as a cigar bar for your guests.Think about hosting your next special event here!
The Banana Factory is the forerunner of the art movement in downtown Bethlehem. Art has flourished and one can now visit many exhibits in the downtown area. I love taking my family and have never paid for the rich experience they receive when we visit. Now that Sands Casino has opened, I hope visitors stop by The Banana Factory to see the raw talent.
took the two day glass blowing class. had a great time. lot of fun, educational and well worth the time. This is a great resource in the Lehigh Valley....glass blowing, mosaics, photography classes, etc.
The Banana Factory Arts Center (yes, it used to be a Banana distribution center) is a wonderful collection of art, artists, local information, and great people. As mentioned in other reviews, Bethlehem's South Side First Fridays (6pm to 9pm each month's 1st Friday) is a great way to explore the Banana Factory. Take in the featured exhibit, listen to the guest band, grab a beverage, appreciate the artists' work along the hallways, go upstairs and venture in to the 25+ resident artists. Do go to the Glassworks studio and take in a demonstration. While there, investigate the class offerings and sign up! Stop by the gift shop and support your favorite artist. The next time you visit, there will be new art to enjoy!
This interesting place has an art school and artist studios. They show the work of local artists in two galleries. There is also a gift shop and a ticket office for some local events especially Musikfest. On the first Friday each month they participate in First Friday and there usually is music and some food as well as the art work. This place is free and there is free parking in their lot.
Great to walk through when they are open to the public for free on the First Friday of the month event in all of Southside Bethlehem. Nice glassblowing demonstration, artwork, and other demonstrations. They hold classes too.
