I always carve out time to visit the Temple Judea Museumeach trip I make to the Philadelphia area. The exhibits are always wonderfully displayed, enlightening and contain true treasures that cannot be viewed elsewhere. When I have had questions about the exhibits and artwork, I've always found answers available from the knowledgeable and friendly curator of the museum. The museum is easy to find, plenty of parking and a must-see!
The Temple Judea Museum is located in a room in the lobby of Kneseth Israel of Elkins Park, where it has been since the congregations joined their forces. The museum is a small jewel of Judaica, housing exhibits that change regularly. On such exhibit was especially meaningful to our family, as the museum presented a retrospective show of my wife's late father, Noah Bee, who was an internationally syndicated political cartoonist for well over 30 years. There are additional exhibits in other glass cases in the library near the front entrance. Overall, the museum adds excitement, interest and a wealth of information about Jewish art, artists and artifacts available to visitors and congregants whenever they gather there.
