We drove 6+ hours just to visit this park for a few days. I was hoping it was going to be cool and not some crappy little place. Well, Knoebels (pronounced with a hard k!) exceeded my expectations. The park on a summer night made me feel like I was a little kid in the 80s. I didn't want to leave at closing time. It is delightfully vintage. It has all the charm that is missing from the concrete and steel of a Six Flags. Knoebels has it all: big thrill rides & smaller antique rides. Comfortable gravel paths and lots of shade. Best of all you get to enjoy yourself without feeling like you're being robbed...it is so affordable. I loved everything about it and I plan to come back every summer if I can.
This park is a simple down home place.Your entrance is free and so is parking. There are shaded area's, and plenty of food items to choose from.I enjoy it here!
I only live 30 min from Knoebels so I have visited many many times. Admission and parking are always free which make it the most affordable amusement park anywhere! Very easy to just buy tickets as you go. Great family atmosphere and much of the park is shaded. On a few occasions I have visited the pool and the 2 water slides. Very reasonably priced! And the kiddie pool is fantastic for little ones!
I enjoy Knoebel's Groves with my family the last four years. The admission is free and so is parking. I can eat my way through the park because the food is delicious. They have items that I remember when I was little. The rides are simple (Tilt-A-Whirl) up to roller coasters.
It is like stepping back in time to enjoy the old time entertainment for the whole family. If you can , reserve a cabin or site to stay in the park both day and night. We love it here.
Great small park feel, with an assortment of rides for all ages. Must mention...THE best amusement park food hands down. The lines for the rides also move at a nice pace. Great setting too.
Great small amusement park with a personal feel. Pay for what you ride. Pool and camping available. Easy to spend a couple days there. Relaxing with everything from roller coasters to kiddie trains!
Okay remember the parks of yesteryear? Well this is it, but add some rather large coasters and thrill rides. You do not pay for parking. You do not pay for admission. You just pay for the rides you want, and I believe they do have arm bands. The food is good as well and reasonable. A family of 4 could have a lot of fun here for what you will pay for parking and 1 admission at Hershey. Oh if you want to bring you own food in,, you can.
My family and I have been going to Knoebels for 10 years. We have a great time. We've done the rides and we've done the water park. The rides are fun, the food is great, and they have awesome museums. We love the history of Knoebels museum. This amusement park has rides for all ages and is so much fun. They also ha've shows where they do fun skits and get the audience involved. The water park is really great. They have a HUGE pool with diving boards and small slides in the pool! There's a splash park for little kids. The best part is their two huge waterslides! One is an intertube one and you can ride alone or go in a double tube. The other slide is mats, and you lie down on your stomach. They're both really fun and it's not too bad of a climb to get up to them.Knoebels is so awesome. We usually stay at Splash Magic Campground which is only 20 minutes away and we go to Knoebels once during our week long vacation, but Knoebels has a campground if you want to stay there too. Or you may just want to take a day trip to Knoebels. The park has been through some devastating floods, but they always get back on their feet!
Super fun family rides like the train, haunted house, and carosel with rings you grab.Pay what you ride - the Phoenix roller coaster was $2.50 per ride, the carosel $1.25.Free parkingAffordable food - The full service resturant the Alamo to Cotton Candy for $3.Shade from trees, and a swimming pool you can pay to swim at.The stone walkways do make it harder for strollers and wheel chairs.
We have been going to Knoebel's for 5 years now and we absolutely love it. The entire place is reminiscent of a simpler time before technology took over our lives. There is no parking or admission fee you just walk in and the fun begins. You pay per ride which there are many including a few great roller coaster and a lot of great kids rides as well. Also the food is tremendous very reasonably priced and very good value. We will be back again this year !!!!
If any park deserves the high attendance its been getting over last few years, it's Knoebles. If any park deserves the good reviews its been getting, it's Knoebles. Want an old fashioned park that lacks the high ticket prices? Want to ride a few rides without paying $70 or $80 just to walk in the gate? Want to ride older rides lost over the ages, the once common rides now hard to find? Here you are. Free admission means you pay for what you WANT to pay for. Want to ride one ride? You pay for one ride. Want to ride 50 rides? You pay for 50 rides. Still need a reason to go? How about awards. Their one wooden coaster, Phoenix, always in the top ten on the list of top wooden coasters. They always win awards on their Haunted Mansion. They keep winning awards on their food (including their sit down restaurant Alamo, complete with steaks) They have won awards on their carousel, complete with the grab the ring game. And they have the only Flying Turns currently running in the world, ranked best new ride in 2014. Who needs more?
I thought this past summer we would give Knoebel's another shot ( due to a horrid experience we had several years ago ) however the park has not changed one bit in the meantime, it is not wheelchair accessible, the attendants on the rides offer no assistance, the food quality has been lowered, ( I even got sick after several bites of a " steak " sandwich ) I am wondering if the Knoebel family sold the park ? Because for many years we would see Debbie Knoebel's wandering the property and we haven't seen her in years, the park is ok if you can get yourself around but in a wheelchair it will be a disappointing experience, I guess their grandfathered in so they do not have to comply with ADA laws
America's best kept secret! Amazing family owned amusement park in the middle of the forest. Is this a fairy tale? Great rides for all ages - from awesome coasters to haunted house. Giant pool! Fun arcade! Award winning food - air conditioned restaurant, homemade ice-cream. Gift shops. The Carousel Museum is a must see. No entrance fee! Old school - pay per ride. No parking fee! Genuine people and no lines! It has become my family's tradition to visit Knoebels for a few days each summer. Lots of hotels nearby. They even have their own campground. FUN!
