Loved the Segway tour of Pittsburgh. Great tour guide, lots of historical information, tons of fun! Definitely on our list of things to do again (and again)!
our experience was so much fun! I was a bit apprehensive riding the Segway at first but Bruce made certain I was secure and comfortable before we got on our way for our ride, he even let me borrow his gloves! The tour of the estate was a real delight, we felt like we were touring an estate in another country. Who knew?? This treasure is an hour away from Pitsburgh! My only disappointment was when the Segway ride came to an end. So much fun!!
What a great time this was! Excellent tour guide (Bruce), who was also the owner. Individual attention on the training since it was our first time. 15 minutes and you're up and on your way. Easy to operate and a totally enjoyable experience to ride. Give this a try!!
Fantastic. Segways are so much fun to take off road and Riverstone Farms in Foxburg is the perfect backdrop. Amazing property and tour. Bruce was thorough and relaxed as a teacher and guide and everyone in our group of six had a terrific time (which goes by fast).
You are too kind. I hope to make the tours even more exciting in 2014.
Segways deliver BIG on the fun! This was the second time out for my husband and I and it was a blast. Definitely recommend giving it a try.
The views or the river were awesome. At the time, Bruce was not busy and gave us an individualized tour. Loved using the big wheeled Segways along the old railroad bed. Ice cream was provided and added a nice finish to the tour. Thanks Bruce.
Today we chose the Advanced Woodland Trail Tour... If you love nature and like to go places that are off the beaten path then this is the segway tour for you! This is not a beginner tour so I would advise that you have had some previous experience riding a segway. This tour will not disappoint.... we had an AWESOME tour! Thank you Bruce!!
Riding the Segway was a fun and interesting experience. We were apprehensive as to whether we would be able to ride the Segway. Bruce took the time to be sure we were comfortable operating the Segway before we went on the trail. He was patient and is very knowledgeable about the machine. Our scenic river trail tour was beautiful. What a way to enjoy nature. The Segway was so quiet and easy to maneuver. The ride was amazing….can’t wait to go back.
It was wonderful even for those of us who may not be the most coordinated people. The wildlife was beautiful, the guide informative and very helpful. I wan to do it again!!
My wife and I were visiting family in the area and decided to take the Segway "Adventure Tour." This was the first time for both of us on a Segway and the training before hand was perfect--not too much, but not too little. Bruce, the guide, was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and the estate (want to come back for the historical tour after talking to him) and made the trip a lot of fun. The Segway was great for seeing some of the local wildlife (several deer & 1 black bear) as well as incredible views of the river. Absolutely no regrets taking the tour!
We had the opportunity to take the Segway tour of the historic Fox Estate, I would recommend anyone who visits the area to take time and and do the tour. Our guide was great with 1. Segway riding 101 (I needed it) and 2. his knowledge of area and history would exceed anyones expectations. We had a excellent visit to the now Riverstone Estate. Al & Leslie
A group of us middle aged gals decided to try going on a segway tour. Our guide was soooo easy going & fun. We had a lot of laughs & no injuries!! We talked about making this activity a yearly event. It was such a good day away. Make a reservation you will not regret it!!!!!Mary Ellen Currie
Foxburg has become such a great little town with its shops, inn and grill. The Segway tour takes you thru the Fox estate which goes back to the 1700's. It has been purchased and restored by Dr. and Mrs. Arthur Steffee. They seem like incredible people , they are out working the grounds while you are touring. What a neat trip ,it lasts over 2 1/2 hours and covers hundreds of acres. The buildings have been restored and you get to walk in most . They have a carriage collection right out of Dracula, it is incredible. They have many unique animals all over the estate, ponds , lots of history.2 tours with guides - Heritage - historical and Adventure - trailsBefore the tour starts , there is approx 30 minutes of training until you feel comfortable. This is not the big city , so you are not having to dodge people.Foxburg is just a scenic unspoiled spot.If you are in northwestern Pa. , you have to stop here. Stay at the Foxburg Inn , eat at the Grille, and go to the winery across the street.
