the trapp door

A great find in the Lehigh Valley area! Hubby and I were searching for a place to eat after landing in Philly and driving to his hometown in Ashland. We were near the Allentown area and I searched on Yelp for a decent place to eat in the area. The Trapp Door had pretty good reviews so we picked it. It was an excellent choice. Driving up to the place the building wasn't anything special but there were a lot of cars in the parking lot so a good sign there. Once inside I was impressed! Tall ceilings with exposed wooden beams, dark wooden tables, and ots of seating at the lively bar! The beer menu was impressive. At least 70 beers to choose from....from draft to bottles. No Millers or Buds at this bar! The food menu was equally impressive. Hubby ordered the bone in pork chop and I had the pork belly sandwich. It was pretty good. Jen the bartender was very friendly and knowledgable about different beers. We definitely will return!
