We come up here for the fest and are always impressed of the changes they make for the better! Great food, great bands and great drinks! Make reservations early!!!!

I reserved a cabin from long distance, sight unseen for a wedding last september. I'm okay with bring your own bedding and towels as I have done that sort of thing before - what I was not okay with was no heat on a very damp cold rainy night. there appear to be several generations of cabins and the strip of ones I was in definitely looked like the oldest, least upgraded ones of the lot. Rotting wood, poor lighting and furnishings that have seen a lot of wear did not impress me, especially given the price I paid and the unprofessional reservation and registration process.I will say that I did not make the opportunity to see what some of the other cabins looked like inside - they certainly looked nicer on the outside and I didn't hear others talking about lack of heat. The reception area was very nice and overall the grounds were beautiful so maybe I just had an "untypical" experience ---- but people need to be aware that at least SOME of the cabins are pretty darn icky

The Heritage Center is interesting with lots of museum items. The scenery is breath taking. They have cabins to stay in, a pool, bar, lake and camping facilities. It's a nice place to get away and relax. If you enjoy Polka's and traditional Slovenian music this is the place for you. It's an especially enjoyable place during their annual Slovene Fest held in early July. Check out SNPJ Recreation Center for more information.

The Heritage Center had a lot of items. It was very enjoyable and the people there were very nice and seemed to enjoy answering our questions. But the highlight was visiting the church. The church is beautiful and unique. We enjoyed our visit very much.

It was a well maintained property. The fact that it's out in the country is a huge draw in itself. Would have enjoyed a round of golf but there is no longer a course. But did enjoy driving around in the golf cart and immensely enjoyed the polka band and dancing.

This FREE museum of Slovenian culture tells the story of the great wave of Slovenian immigrants to the United States around the turn of the 20th Century. Displays from every region of Slovenia were comprised from donated items of immigrant descendants. A small country (size of New Jersey), Slovenia is a gem of Europe. What did the Slovenian immigrants do when they arrived to America? Where did they settle? What contributions have Slovenians made to American life, to the world? Visit this corner of Western Pennsylvania, grab a listening device and tour the outstanding exhibits to find out. There's even a gift shop with food, books and other Slovenian cultural items. But you will have to go on a weekend, May through September. The museum has limited hours, but we were told special arrangements can be made for groups at nearly any time!
