This is a great local farm to visit and to shop. There are lots of animals to see - a giant pig, rabbits, peacock and peahen, donkey, goats, sheep, and of course cows and calves. You can watch the cows be milked between 4 and 6PM. In the spring they offer a wide variety of flowers and vegetables for sale. In the fall they offer pumpkins for sale as well as hayrides and other activities for the kids. Warning- it can get very crowded for the special events in the fall. The ice cream is great and they offer many flavors. You can also purchase their milk to take home and enjoy.
A great place to take the kids in the fall.Corn maze, pumpkin picking and craving, hayrides and more.Nice treats too.Cider, pies and ice cream. All the helpers are very nice and Marilyn is the best!!!!
We love stopping by for homemade ice cream and walking around to see the animals. it's a family tradition to take the grand kids each fall for pictures with the pumpkins and the fun fall activities.
Merrymead Farm is a working dairy farm with some of the most delicious milk around. It also has a small zoo of farm animals, and an enormous pig, to delight children of all ages. It feature locally grown produce at competitive prices, wonderful ice-cream in numerous flavors (personal favorite is Chocolate Moose Trail), and baked goods that are home-made and scrumptious. Fall Festival days are always a family favorite, with pumpkins of all sizes for sale, an enormous maze for the stout of heart, a smaller corn-stalk maze for the little ones, plus many other activities for the family.Merrymead is a little bit of heaven in Montgomery County, PA.
It's a fun place for families. I go there often for the fresh milk. And we go for seasonal festivities.
The best milk anywhere.Lots for the little ones.A real family spot.We would never buy milk anywhere else!
Merrymead Farm bustles in warm weather with families and children learning about the farm animals. Fall touts the pumpkin patch and corn maze. Even in winter, this local farm is a treasure for good pies, baked goods and breads. The freezers are well stocked with fresh milk, home made ice cream, eggs and butter. Nice cuts of meat (frozen) are excellent standbys for those nights when you don't want to go grocery shopping. The ice cream cones and milk shakes satisfy the sweet tooth any time of year.
This place is a great family spot! My kids love to go to their fall festivals, and enjoy getting ice cream there. I also enjoy their farm market that features lots of home made and local goodies.
This is a great place for kids. My grandparents took me when I was little and now I take my son. It's free to walk around and see the animals. You used to be able to pet, but not anymore. They also have a little shop which sells fresh produce, icecream, milk, etc. On Halloween, they have a corn maze, hayrides and lots of activities. I take my kids back every year.
We love to stop there for the latest flavors of ice-cream. They also have all the freshest produce which is in season.
Great farm store and working farm. Smell the cows and other exciting activities abound. A quiet place where you can also see barns, silos and other farm-fun stuff.
Great place and great ice cream. They have a nice hayride and farm animals for the autumn fest with corn maze and a little train ride for the little ones.
Last month we visited Merrymead Farm for the first time. We really enjoyed our time there. I love the fact that they have activities for kids like bounce houses and a very nice and long corn maze. The hay ride was nice with beautiful sights. Food was average just hot dogs and burgers. They made their own ice cream. I enjoyed the Apple caramel bowl. Looking forward to go back next fall
We have visited Merrymead Farm for many years. The farm market provides fresh produce, milk and baked goods. There are wonderful canned goods, candies, baking products, Talutto's pasta and of course the Merrymead ice cream is a must! Many seasonal activities for the kids. The family and employees are very friendly.
Area is pretty good, our pictures turned out good... customer service could use some improvement. For a business that caters to families, they need to be a little bit more friendly, some are chitchatting among each other while attending to customers and don't bother to make eye contact or provide any information/tips etc. You think a Smile and Hello was on a shortage in this place.Anyway... We went in the Fall for the Harvest FestivalParking is free which is awesome but get there early to find a good spot... there is a pumpkin coral, mini corn maze, tractor/wagon ride for the kids, hayride, bouncies and facepainting for a fee... tickets were 30 for $20 to enjoy the attractions. Admissions vary from 3-5 tickets. There are also a few animals around for the kids to see. A couple of concession stands are available that sells drinks, fries, donuts, burgers and hotdogs and a bigger store that sells some good (but pricey) ice cream and other goods like pastries and desserts... very good though! You can have lunch at the picnic tables available right by the pumpkin coral. Watch out for the bees though! Restrooms are available but are only port-o-potties... one good thing is that there are wash areas with running water and soap so you can actualy wash your hands and not just use sanitizer after using the bathrooms. Pretty small, a few hours would be sufficient to enjoy the amenities of the farm.
