Visited here before Halloween to buy a pumpkin. They had hundreds of pumpkins and multi-colored squash to choose from. Spend time in the corn maze, shop in the gift shop, buy fresh baked goods, take a hay ride, or show your skills slinging apples. All good fun!

We live quite close to Linvilla and have been taking kids and grandkids there for over 40 years. There is a nice farmers market plus you can pick your own fruit in season. Halloween is a great time to go.

Been a yearly tradition with my family for over 25 years! Pumpkin picking, hayrides, corn mazes & more!

Linvilla has become a destination for families for miles around. There are seasonal and daily fun activities for children, hay rides, pumpkins, wonderful fresh produce, and great Christmas trees. There is something for everyone to enjoy year round and be sure to check the seasonal schedule for pick your own fruits.

This is absolutely a wonderful place for fresh produce. The kids love to walk around to watch and feed the animals. There are lots of country style food items to purchase. They even have fresh ice cream, yummie. They are a little pricey for some items but; the quality is excellent. You can enjoy the orchard without having to spend. In the fall they have hay rides which everyone seems to enjoy. I like to look around the greenhouse that has a wide variety of plants.

Great place for families. Year round fun, every season brings something new to experience & explore.

It is a tradition in our family to go to Linvilla and take our fall photos. We love the punkin patch, we then go for a pony ride, play in the park which is has such an array of imaginative wooden displays for the kids to climb on. We end with visiting the animals then each of us pic a item from the country store. This is a wholesome and inexpensive way to spend a day with your kids / grandkids.

What a wonderful place to come. We were here for the pumpkin patch but there was so much more. The country store and bakery are great and the service is exceptional.

I first visited this location 2 yrs ago for apple picking. I did not buy their pumpkins since they were in bins and frankly I could get them cheaper locally without having to haul them home from there. I loved their decor for Halloween/ fall which offered plentiful photo ops. This was our first time apple picking and we thoroughly enjoyed it. I must say there is a lot of walking involved for this activity since the fields are not that close to the entrance. They provide wagons and cartons to place your apples with as well as the fruit pickers for removing apples from the trees. Again, this does involve some physical strength though my boys, 6 and 9 at the time could handle it. The weather happened to be radiant when we visited. Apples are more expensive than at the supermarket but again, we went for the experience. As some other people have commented, due to the large crowds, parking is scarce though it did not take us that long to find a spot when comparing to other busy places. We did not get to visit the playground which seems cute for younger children nor the farm animals. We did take the hayride to visit the witch, who told some kid friendly Halloween jokes and a story as well as handed out a treat, followed by a bonfire with marshmallows and cider. My kids like the latter the best though admittedly this is probably more enjoyed by the younger set. There is no entrance fee but you do have to pay for the different activities. The prices in the farm market and garden center are a bit high though they do offer some specialty items. This year, we decided to get our first real Christmas tree and revisited them. We took a hayride out to the field for the "full" experience of chopping down our own tree. They provide the saw and assistance, if needed. They also mark it and haul it to a truck and back to the center for pick up. Parking was easy to find. However, it did take us a while to find that "perfect" tree. We had previewed the ones on the lot and kept comparing to those. It seems as if the better ones have already been cut for sale. You pay a flat rate for the tree from the field ($60 in our case, coupon available online), so sometimes the one from the lot may be the better deal unless you are going to cut a big tree. Since we've now had the experience, I will probably buy from a lot next time. They bale it and help load or tie it to your car or truck. Also, they drill the hole for the stand straight stands, if you have one. We also participated in the wassailing hayride which was a bit over crowded. At first I thought there would be no caroling but it turns out that you drive through the various orchards before coming to a clearing where you drink cider and toss some to the trees in the orchard (wassail) and sing some carols, booklets and flashlights provided. You return to the tree lot and toast some marshmallows over a bonfire, a bit disorganized in my opinion because no staff supervised. I wish the lot had some Christmas lights strung and background music playing to give more ambiance.

There's always something going on at Linvilla - craft fairs, hay rides, musical entertainment, animals, etc. A great place for apple picking! Yummy foods and fun shopping opportunities.

I live near Linvilla Orchards and really enjoyed going the first time. The hayrides, animals, playground, and gardening store are nice for an afternoon outing. They have expanded in the last 2 years to make it more of an entertainment center instead of just an orchard.Pluses: ample parking, good fresh fruit & vegetables, and great pies. Hayrides are fun & well organized.Minuses: The bathrooms are pretty nasty. The outdoor playground is especially beaten up. It can be pricey.Admittedly, I have Linvilla fatigue from living only 2 miles away & having been there way too many times. It's nice for a 2 hour outing, but don't expect to spend a day there. Bathrooms & playground are in need of an update.

Needed pumpkins, lunch and some time outside. The weather was perfect, the animals were entertaining, the children were smiling and the prices were okay.

I have to say i've lived in philly my life but have never been here, but recently we went because a friend wanted to celebrate her 30something birthday there. It was around 5 pm so i did not get to get to see this orchard in early day but from what i did see there is not a whole lot to it. prices are a bit expensive, im not into pumpkin picking or apple picking etc, but did go to their farmer market store, again priced high some good items and choices though. Pastries were just ok. Did not get to go on the hayride, which by the time the others got on was late nite where you couldn't see in front of your face which made no sense to me to even ride it. Was a camp area that u could cook say hot dogs and marshmellow that again was just ok..not lit well and if you use it at nite you can hardly see if your weinner is done..LOL..seriously. The whole place was poorly lite for nite time and the ground is uneven and some dirt areas that this city girl did not do well with..all in all i gave it an average rating due to the fact that had i gone early in the day i might have enjoyed it better. They have a small area for food stands..but not a lot to attract me as anything special. Oh one last thing..make sure you dont drink a lot..the bathroom facility from what i saw only a couple Port-a-Pottys again..this south philly girl says ain't no way..i used one of these one other time..this year..and asked someone how do i flush it!! He died laughing.

Although we have visited Linvilla orchards a couple times in the past, it never ceases to please! This year we had a birthday party for my 8 year old son with our extended family and around 18 kids of his class. And IT. WAS. FUN!! We started with greeting everyone in a designated outdoor play area where kids had a great time running around/ coloring the farm books provided by Linvilla team. This was followed by the famous tractor-wagon hayride - we were already 29 of us and believe it or not- Linvilla graciously accommodated the parents of some of the kids who had been waiting with us to hop on to the ride. The wagon driver was a pleasant fella who kept us engrossed with tales about the amazingly large orchard-a-bloom and also entertained us with a quiz at the end handing out different varieties of fresh juicy apples to the winners!! The kids were on their toes. The orchards themselves are abundant in fruits and vegetables and although we didn't include it in our party- there is opportunity for picking your own produce- yes- that's right- right off the bushes/ trees! (There is opportunity to even go fishing in their private lake that abounds in plenty of catch). Once we were back in the birthday play area, we were greeted by hot enormous pizza fresh off the oven that the kids gulped down in no time. Lemonade & Apple cider went the same route. (Although we didn't do it this time- Linvilla also offers private campfires where families/ friends can toast s'mores and enjoy them with fresh apple cider- we have done it in the past and that has been a fun evening family activity). The pizza was followed by a huge farm themed cake with a toy tractor on top - that was met with giggles and laughter and led to happily smeared hands & faces. All in all it was a great outdoor birthday party in a nice country-like environment in an affordable all-inclusive package (that included pre-invites too!)

I'm always looking for fun things to do with my four year old son. Linvilla has a great playground, lots of animals to feed and pet, and yummy apple cider and snacks. At this time of year it's even better with hay rides, apple sling shots and my son's favorite - mazes! We had hours of fun for just a few dollars.
