We joined another couple for dinner at the Corner Stable. neither of us had been there since it was renovated. We were surprised that at 5p, the four of us were the only folks there. By the time we left at 6:15, there were two other tables of folks dining. Lots of empty tables. Our entire meal for the four of us was $55. No alcohol, pleasantly surprised at the very reasonable prices. I had the chicken Parmesan, and couldn't eat the entire portion! My husband had a "jacked up" hamburger and our two friends had a chicken entree and a hamburger with crab and melted cheese on it. Those three orders came with a bag of Martins chips on the side instead of fries.Waitress was friendly, got the orders correct and didn't rush us.Bathrooms clean, credit cards accepted, parking was plentifulBar adjoins the restaurant but closed off by doors so you don't hear the noise, nor smell the smoke. Will return again soon
This has always been one of our go to restaurants. The food is always very good and their prime rib is out of this world and more than generous. The price for this on the weekend can not be beat, especialy on Sundays. Our services are almost always on the friendly side. This is not a fancy restaurant but the food sure tastes like it. Try the onion loaf, the cream of crab soup and the prime rib!!
My hubby and I have ate here a few times I think the food is ok. Nothing outstanding. The service was average. I didn't lik the crowded parking area.
I'll be honest - I was expecting something a little fancier, more like a nice restaurant (based on the exterior of the building), but it's pretty much a basic diner on the inside. Tables & chairs, placemats with area businesses advertising on them, etc... Nothing wrong with that, it was just not what I was expecting. Not much for ambiance, that's all. But we ordered our dinners, and we had a variety of items, and all of them were very good. They are supposed to be known for their ribs, but we did not try them this time around. I had to try their prime rib special, which was very good. One of the things that I drew me to that was how they tried to make sure that you understood what you were ordering. On the special menu, under the prime rib, they made sure to point out that prime rib is a fatty cut of meat. Prime rib is not a lean cut of meat, and I appreciated that they took the time to make sure that customers were aware of that. I don't believe most people make prime rib at home, so only get the opportunity to try it when dining out. I'd recommend their prime rib to anyone - it was very good. The service was good, the waitresses were really hustling and the kitchen does a really good job putting out good food to such a busy diner.
We always enjoy the Corner Stable . The food is consistently. Good, especially, ribs and crab cakes. It's a little noisy but we don't mind because the food is so tasty. Actually, I met my husband there in 1972
Ribs are their specialty. They have a separate bar for smokers. Casual environment. Lots of quaint shops in the same shopping center.
The ribs were terrific, and the service was above average, but other than that, nothing really stood out.
I like to go there for lunch. In a small mini mall area, good parking, very good food, prices reasonable and service is very good. They have a separate bar, if you like. I really enjoy their crab cakes but other food is very good.
