No free or convientient parking for this venue. That's pretty unwelcoming for out of town visiters..

Cool place to go to. The trails are nice that go around the area. There is also two rivers that come together to form one, hence the point. Which can lead to the need for a jacket as it gets windy there.

What a pleasure it is to have the fountain back and the park put back together without construction. Whether it's a summer festival or a holiday event. Take time to walk on the waters edge and see Pgh from the Point.

Great place to relax and see the boats on the rivers. Don't go during a hot day the fountain will be filled with kids (if school is out). Fantastic place to be during the Fourth of July. If you can find a parking garage about 3 or more blocks away much cheaper when it's the 4th or the Arts Festival which we also recommend.

Walking down to the Point is absolutely on the Must Do list for Pittsburgh. At the fountain at the tip of the point, you get a crazy good view of the North Shore (Steelers and Pirates stadium and the Casino), an old timey view of Station Square with the large paddle boats of the Gateway Clipper Fleet, a view of Mount Washington from below, and if you turn around you'll get a view of Pittsburgh that shows off the entire city while making you feel like you are right in it. There are also many different plaques detailing the history of the Point which are very fascinating. You can walk around in entire point in about 20 minutes, so it's a great way to kill some time or spend your lunch break.

I don't know why there is a state park here, as the vast majority of other state parks are far superior to this. The "Point" has very few trees, floods on occasion and the large crowds leave litter. It does have a good museum on Fort Pitt's history, a large fountain and a nice view of the "3 Rivers". Not a bad place to hang-out before a ballgame, but is just okay and that's about it. If you want a nice, woodland state park, try Raccoon Creek State Park nearby; it's far nicer and much less crowded.

Beautiful park, wonderful grounds. Great for a photo shoot. Great to walk a dog or have a picnic. Go and enjoy the day or a parade. We went when they had the veteran’s day parade which made our trip extra special.

Very nice park right where the rivers converge in downtown Pittsburgh. Now that the gigantic fountain is up after a few years of re-construction, Point State Park is a must see! Parking is NOT convenient, but well worth the extra walk! FREE!

Certainly worth visiting. On a windy day, they turn down the fountain, so go on a calm day when you can see it roaring!

The park's location is what makes it great! Great views right on the rivers. Stand in front of Heinz field and get your picture if you are a Steelers fan! Not much to the park other than the little bridge, fountain, and Fort Pitt museum & block house. But the views make it worth a trip. Block out 30 mins and go here! No bathroom unless you go to the Museum though so be aware if you are walking. Can also get some good closer shots of the bridges. The T subway which is free in the downtown stops, is also right between the park and Market square, just a block away.

Walked through the park on a windy Sunday before a Steelers game. The views are terrific - you can see Heinz and PNC, the confluence, Mt Washington, and the city itself. The Block House is there as is the Fort Pitt Museum. Definitely worth a stroll. You can walk to Heinz Field and we walked to Station Square from there although both are 20+ minutes and have some stairs, ramps, and somewhat vertigo inducing bridges to cross.

What a fantastic place to take in the entire city. It's a great place to walk, picnic, play with the kids, etc... You get all three rivers, the stadiums, the buildings, and just all around fun. I have also been here during the regatta & the arts festival. Both times were great. Crowd flow was decent & the vendors were fantastic. I will visit again for sure.

You can enjoy the nice views of the rivers and the stadiums and looking back at the city, but it's very peaceful, so you feel like you are outside of the city. The fountain is impressive and you have great views of the inclines and the bridges. It's nice to be able to stop in the Fort Pitt museum, if you have time. If you don't have a lot of time, you can stop at the house outside, which has a lot of interesting history and it's free to go in.

There is a large fountain and the view of Heinz field is good. It's a nice park and there is much to see across the rivers including the old Duquesne Incline.

I went here mostly to see the Block House, a portion of what once was Fort Pitt. I took some time to walk around the park and it was gorgeous. It has the Allegheny and the Monongahela on both sides and sits where they form the Ohio. The sports stadiums sit across one side and Mount Washington on the other. The bridges run all along, but what makes it even more grand is the HUGE fountain at the very end of the point. I visited at sundown and the view was spectacular. Visit if you can, but NEVER when the Steelers are playing as finding parking is impossible and EXPENSIVE then!
