I like the occasional glass of wine, but hard cider has always been one of my favorites. Most Saturdays the release a new Hard Cider, like Peach, Raspberry and many other delicious flavors to try. They have plenty of special events, and the whole atmosphere is absolutely beautiful! They are still open all Winter Long with a new indoor seating area by the fire.. Great place for a Ladies Night out!
This picturesque property is just a stone's throw from the hustle & bustle of all the activity on Allentown Blvd, yet is just like being out in the country. Tasted a number of the wines, but was hooked on the wine slushies. Enjoyed the food (catered by the Mountainside Supper Club) and the live entertainment. A great venue to sit & relax!
We where there on a Saturday night. Had a great dinner from Mountainside super club. The pumpkin soup was to die for and the rest was excellent (salad, pork sandwich, peach desert). Then it was free entertainment from Ryan Moran a local guitarist and singer who was great. We did a wine tasting and did not find any of their wines that we did not like. We had their muscat with dinner and took that and two of their sweets home for later. Great night, a must do... just leave room for us.
Stopped on Labor Day about 6 and enjoyed live music with some good wine and a tasty meal from the food vendor. Great atmosphere with fire pits and plenty of outdoor seating. Was my second visit and plan on going back again.
A great night out with the wife and friends. Wine paring dinners are outstanding. Wine tasting nights are casual and filled with good wine and music. Wine tastings are fun.. but don't be rushed. The servers seemed to want to move through the process as fast as possible. We will be back many times.
Just moments from the center of Harrisburg is this brand new winery. Tucked behind the usual urban sprawl of Costco and Target is this oasis. A huge old barn and farm has been converted into a delightful site to sip wine, listen to music and chat with friends. A large patio, plenty of easy parking and generous hours make this my new favorite place. Check out their website for special events such as food pairings and music. They have sangria, wine slushies and truffles that were divine. Local restaurants.deliver limited hours on certain days..Wild Tomato pizzaria delivers on Thirsty Thursday. The employees were friendly, helpful and generous with tastings. They have wine growlers and a sparkling wine on tap. I know where I will be next time I am thirsty on Thursday!
We went on a Friday night. The wine tasting was ok for $5 pp. Very nice evening outside with the live band and food. There is a little bar set up outside. They had sangria on tap with fresh fruit, awesome! Didn't get a chance to taste the food or the wine slushy, next time. Over all great relaxing close to home outing! Enjoy!
Spring Gate is a 60-arce farm that produces its own wine and has a tasting room plenty of outdoor seating and partners with caterers bring offer really amazing food (Fri-Sun). They have about 20 wines (including several from their sister winery in VA called North Gate), and fantastic hard cider.Bottled ice tea and water, along with crackers, meats and cheese are available from the tasting room (a large refurbished 150 year old barn) and they try to keep those products as local as possible. Each week a new selection of 6 wines are featured for tasting. Sweet wines and off dry in a variety are available and usually change to reflect the season. Lighter and crisper in the summer, etc. A generous taste of all 6 can be had for $5. (You can sample 1 or 2 at no cost, but trying all of them is quite a treat!)As of now they also have wine slushies (Saturdays)Sangria on Thursdays (with pizza)They have music on select Fri-Sundays.There is plenty of shade and you can just relax and enjoy the scenery and rural atmosphere and good friends. Some folks bring their children, but I plan keep mine at home. The location is ideal because you can shop in and near the Colonial Park mall and then just go about 1-2 miles south on Devonshire Rd and have this amazing rural farm and wine experience and the catered food is wonderful. The staff is friendly and everyone has such a great time...I can't wait to go back!Dinner Pairing events are held once per month, but hopefully they will add more because they sell out in just a couple of days. These events are around 75 and feature amazing food: appetizer, entrée, and dessert with the perfect wine pair for each.Chocolate Truffle Pairing events happen as well.Important Note: Outside food and beverages are not allowed on the premises.
The wine was so so...the staff, not so friendly...Much better vineyards in the area for the money!!!
What a pleasure it was to visit this new winery. Given the quality of wines in PA, I wasn't expecting much, but was surprised and delighted by the experience. Here's why:The location made it easy to get to.The winery and tasting room were beautiful - what a great atmosphere! Word has gotten out - lots of people there. The wait staff was pleasant. The wines were excellent (their partnership with a VA vineyard helped them fill the inevitable gaps a new vineyard is going to face).Overall, we had a delightful visit. It's a great date night location for locals and for me as an out-of-town visitor, it's a place I'll be returning to!
This is a great new winery and vineyard. They have a nice picnic area with patio and grass and tasting room. They have a nice selection of wine to choose from...mostly whites right now but they say there will be more reds in the coming months. The patio has lots of tables and chairs. They said that they will have music starting in May which will be nice addition. What a great new place in our area!
