You can't go wrong playing this terrific course in Saugatuck. It's a very interesting layout with lots of variety and beautiful scenery. Great pro shop and restaurant.

We signed up as a twosome and we were linked with a single upon getting to the first tee box. While we were a bit disappointed that we would not be golfing alone, we quickly found that this single was a blessing. This is an expensive course to play but it is very beautiful and very well kept. It is worth it. Having the single player with us who was familiar with the course made our day so much more enjoyable. While we were playing our GPS systems on our cart were out so we were on our own for figuring where to place our shots. Our new friend helped us by giving us insight to the course which was so nice as we didn't lose balls, hit in the wrong direction because we couldn't see the flag. It was very nice. Just make sure that your GPS is working on your cart before you take off from the clubhouse. Be sure to get a hot dog on a pretzel roll at the turn or after your round. Very delicious!

Excellent Palmer design; good bunker placement and many risk-reward. Fairways meander through wooded terrain; you'll rarely see another group. Staff is good; one too many divots perhaps but still a treat to play.

We golfed the Ravines after some pretty serious rains but found the course in great shape. Soggy but not puddled. They must have great drainage. I found the carries over swampy areas to really challenge my game. Beautiful western Michigan feel with paths through woods. Don't be afraid of this course but choose wisely the tees you play from.

Excellent course, manicured well, challenging but women friendly. Great greens, driving and putting range, pricey but worth it.

We've played here several years ago & liked it. We came back this year & it's even better. Course was in great shape. It winds through the woods of Western Michigan with plenty of elevation changes. There are some blind shots so if it's your first time it's best to play with a "regular". You'll need all your clubs & if you're not having a good day bring plenty of balls!

We met a couple at the beach and went for dinner and golf to Ravines. We absolutely loved it we found a new favorite spot and two new besties

This is my third year playing The Ravines. One's short game and putting skills are challenged on every hole. The fairway lay ups required me to use proper course management. I am not a long ball hitter. This course plays better for those who are prudent in club choices. High handicappers will not enjoy playing this course as they would be frustrated with carries and the long rough. I loved the challenge and was able to improve my skills. I forgot to mention that I am a senior woman golfer. The staff is courteous and the clubhouse is fine. The french fries are great!

Loved the layout and the character of the clubhouse and surrounding area. Can't go wrong with booking a tee time here or just going for a cocktail and lunch.

We've played here twice in the last month and really enjoyed the course. There is not much water but there are quite a few forced carries over swamp lands and a few ravines. Many times the forced carries are 60 to 70 yards in front of the greens. Makes it tough for a duffer.This course is much better than Clearbrook for the money.Check them out on holidays as they tend to have specials. It was $40 with cart for 18 holes on July 4. It normally costs $45 for only 9 holes.

Beautiful course, very well maintained. Excellent practice area (grass tee, short game area). Course is comparable to EagleRidge (Galena IL), Missouri Bluffs (StL), and Geneva National (Lake Geneva WI). Play the right tees, and the course will be challenging, though fair and fun...pay attention to the GPS, there are a couple holes where the driving area is limited and semi-blind. It is a solid 4star course. The clubhouse is 3star - all the facilities you need and in good condition...OK ambience, well stocked pro shop, OK food/bev at grill/bar, and the locker room does include a (single) shower.

My husband and I played this course for the first time over Memorial Day weekend. We loved it! I shot my lowest 9 hole round ever here on the front nine. We won't talk about the 18 hole score. Anyway, the course was is perfect condition and is challenging. You can't just go out and pound your driver. It is heavily wooded, lots of hazards but a fair course. Being from Chicago, we thought it was a great value. The park district courses we play are price within $5 of this course. They also have an excellent practice facility with a range, 2 bunkers, chipping area and putting green. Also, it was really a no pressure experience. I guess mainly, because they weren't crazy busy yet.Loved it and will go back.

Went to the Ravines with my son recently. We both enjoyed the experience very much. The course was in good shape. Most importantly, the greens were in excellent conditions, This is a course that if you are not playing well, you can struggle. A lot of forced carries and very wooded. Make sure you play the correct tees. Overall, I recommend the Ravines and would play it again

It is a very nice course. It is set up for the long ball hitters though. Some of us seniors, can't hit it that long off the tee anymore to carry the several marshlands in front of the tees.

The Ravines is a golf course built to sell large expensive homes. The expensive homes part didn't work out so well, but the course is still there. Its signature hole has you hitting over a wide ravine. Hohummm! Did I say it was expensive?
