4 hour wait for the aquarium and rainforest cafe, sold out online. Husband is handicapped and we drove over an hour. Will never ever return.
They have a nice selection of stores. Some have good deals, others not so great, but that is with every outlet mall. I really like how it was all inside because it would be nice to visit in all weather. We went on a Friday and I didn't see any of the gang members that previous people had posted about. It was really noisy in the food court area and that drove us to eat at one of the other restaurants away from the food court. Some areas are more crowded than others.
Everywhere we went it was crowded. Nearly impossible to shop, or to get assistance in the stores. Employees were hard to understand (accents, half spoken slang words). Some people in the crowds were frightening and pushy. No concern for where they pushed their double strollers! Talking on their cell phones, while young children ran ahead or behind in circles. Only one security officer was seen in the three hours we were there. Prices were not a bargain at all. Outlet shopping is overrated.
This outlet mall has a lot of brand names stores. It is not the best outlet mall in the country ( Sawgrass in south Florida is in my opinion), but you can find some good deals here. Lord and Taylor outlet is pretty good, Chico's outlet, TJ Maxx, Saks Fifth Avenue outlet, Bcbgmaxazria and much more. Food court is pretty decent with a nice Starbucks store. There is a movie theater inside the mall with very comfortable seats. Customer service is good at most of the stores. My only disappointment is that some clerks at high end stores, Neuman Marcus I think, would address you as "HON" which is not up to the company standards and degrading in general.
This is not the place for families. The few stores my husband and I went to took sometime due to the layout of the mall. It is sad this place killed Summit Place Mall because Summit was far better! Terrible customer service at Chocolate Factory! And the food court is poor, overpriced food. Save the trip and go to Twelve Oaks Mall or Sommerset Mall. Great food at both malls and incredible customer service. Also, incredibly safer for families!
Wish this place was closer, but it's probably safer for the budget that it isn't. Great place to meet friends for lunch and while away a snowy day hitting the sales. If you live more than 50 miles away, be sure to pick up a "Passport" at Guest Services & take advantage of the discounts. Even better, if you take a group, register online in advance for some freebies. Short on cash? Great place to "mall walk" as the oval layout is similar to a track. Just don't try it on a weekend unless you arrive early so you don't have to dodge bodies.
Love shopping here. Great day or overnight trip for us. We usually go to Rainforest Café. This is our grandson's favorite place to go. He loves playing in the food court on the giant food items.
This mall has great brands and quality stores. The attractions are fun Star Theater,The Rainforest Cafe, Sea Life (if you pre-purchase) tickets. The food court is impressive with a large play area for kids and a merry go round.
This place is great for any shopper. Not every store is full of deals but many are. Don't forget to pick up your "passport" if you drove more than 50 miles. Wish they had an Under Armor store.
This is the second time I've visited this outlet mall in the past few months. The stores offered some good deals. Not huge deals but ok deals. The area is nice & the mall was clean. The theater was also clean & comfortable.
increase security here please! There are whatpear to be mi i-gangs running around this mall. I mentioned it at a shoe store and one of the employees stated that they. Had to move a bunch of inventory to the rear of the store due to a very high level of theft. I like the place, but im not sure I would let my 15 year old go off shopping on own.....
Great big mall, surrounded by more shopping. We found the deals to be quite good. 2 shoppers did the majority of our Christmas shopping for around $300 each, buying mostly children's items, luggage, kitchen stuff etc. and a few things for ourselves. Most items were at least 35% off what we would pay in Canada. It helps to know your prices. Free wifi helps!
Visited after Black Friday & before Christmas. Wide range of stores will fit for whole family, included grand parents. If you have are visitor (non-US citizen), bring your passport and see information desk. Get your discount book, then start to shop from there. It is indoor outlet mall, I can said it is just enlarged version of Vaughan Mills Mall, you can just loop around inside of the mall. Just remember where you parked your car, otherwise, you will see pain to find it.
Great Lakes Crossing is a decent mall, although most stores are overpriced there are some deals to be found. Personally I was excited to see the mall had added a Converse store as I have worn Converse shoes as far back as I could remember. I was on the Converse website and found a pair of Jack Purcell shoes on sale for $34.99 which was exciting. I figured It may be easier to go to the Converse store to find that specific pair I wanted and I did just that. They were on the back wall otherwise known as the "sale" wall. I was shocked to see the stores so called sale was was $59.99 which is a $25 dollar difference. I pulled the Converse site up on my phone and asked a sales associate if they would honor their websites sale price. Bluntly she said no, so I asked her if she could get a manager, she said I can but the answer will still be no. She said the shoes online are ones they cant sell so thats why they are on sale. So i asked if that were the case why was that particular shoe in the "Sale" section of the store with several pairs all the same that have been there for quite some time "I frequently check this store for sales" She had no answer for me but again refused to ask a manager yet again. This is unfortunate. I am not generally one to complain but it seems This particular store has a flaw in their system. One being customer service and the other price matching their own website. If this is their policy then they will lose allot of business at the storefront to their website or other online stores. Other stores in this mall price match, and are competitive with their pricing which is why this mall has done so well. Unfortunately some stores dont make it, I know this Converse store has a large following. But if they dont take the time to improve customer service with certain employees "not all of them because they do have some great ones" customers will eventually find an alternative provider for their product.
Loved this place! Our first visit and not our last! The stores are fantastic and love the set-up. No need to back track to a store as it goes around in a circle and a couple of the stores you can walk right through to get to the other side. Great shopping experience!
