carroll park

This park was designed by the same person who designed Central Park in New York. It has picnic areas, tennis courts, a playground and a pond where children can feed the ducks. It is a nice park for a city this size.

I live here now. I love running here and walking my dog. It is very basic. Nothing fancy. Just a pretty little spot that is filled with happy families, walkers and runners. Pretty trees and lined with pretty houses.

My family held a reunion here a recently and this was my first visit to Carroll park. We rented the pavilion which was had just been finished from a remodeling job the day before. So that meant my cousin had a lot of cleaning to do. It was very neat looking and in a nice area of Bay City. Outdoor facilities were a porta potti. Parking was adequate and we had a nice family get together. We plan on doing it again next year there also.

Park is centrally located on East side of Bay City with adequate playground equipment, although it seems to be decreasing every year. Good effort put into trying to maintain the duck pond and the old concrete statues. Kids love to climb the trees and play ball in the open field.
