Try the reserve Shiraz , it is on of the best dry reds in Michigan. Has some very good whites and when you go you almost always meet the owners!
What a great stop on our wine tour this summer. Some of my favorite wines I tasted were: Watusi Red, Starry Starry White, Pink Side of the Moon, Razz M'Tazz, and the Stone Temple Pinot. I loved sitting out on the deck enjoying the view and a glass of wine. It was a very pleasant experience. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly!!
I loved every wine I tasted at Karma Vista. We went back because two years ago we were there and had run out of their Stone Temple Pinot. The vista is beautiful too. At the top of a hill over looking the vineyard. The wine servers were great too. Very knowledgeable and even though it was busy able to help.
Trophywife and I made this one of our stops on our Labor day wine tour with friends. We have visited several times in the past and were never impressed with the wines. We stopped just so our friends could have a well rounded tour. We were very pleasantly surprised to find that they now have a bigger selection of wine and we enjoyed some of them This is the first time we have bought wine there. The facility itself is situated on top of a hill with a very nice view of the surrounding vineyards. At some point, most of the vineyards in the state have started charging for tastings. I understand the rationale for this and don't mind it, especially when you get a souvenir glass and/or a refund with the purchase of wine. However, we had a very unpleasant experience here. The lady who served us was unfriendly to the point of hostility. She asked how many were tasting and when we told her, she demanded we pay the tasting fee upfront. Every other winery we visited this day allowed us to pay after tasting. Luckily, there was another younger server there who was much nicer and hhelped make us feel more at ease. Anyone can have a bad day, but when you are in the business of selling something, being nice to the customers is imperative. I am still rating this place very good based on the view, quality of their wine and the younger server. If we return and I see the cranky lady behind the bar, I will turn around and walk back out the door.
You will definately find good karma here with gorgeous views and a peaceful setting. I lived in central California and visited Amador County wine country where I fell in love with the whole wine experience. I enjoy visiting Leelanau County and their wineries every year. Karma Vista is just as pretty as many in these locations. The wine is excellent and I really like their style! "Drink wine, live forever".
Nice size tasting room with plenty of windows overlooking the hills and vineyards. Wines all hand clever names. Many were very good. Our favorites were Karisma, Cabernet Funk, SoCo Grigio, Stone Temple Pinot.
is their slogan and is a perfect description for them. This was my 2nd time at this winery and will definitely continue to go back. This winery does get super busy, but we were lucky enough to go on a Friday afternoon before the crowd arrived. The workers are great...They know their wines (just as they should) and are super friendly and cheerful. This location sits on the top of a hill and has stunning views of their vineyard. Of course, their wines are super tasty. From their fruit wines to their dry reds, well...you really can't go wrong. Karma Vista is definitely a place you must visit.
The view from the Karma Vista Winery was terrific looking in all directions. Combined with some wine-tasting --all made with their grapes grown right there on site--a cute gift shop and a small balcony to enjoy the view, it made for a very enjoyable hour. This was an outing while visiting in St. Joseph, Michigan and well worth the scenic drive!
