Great artisan brewery that's recently opened serving a nice selection of their own beer. Nice place.

I'll confess to being more of a sweet cider or mead fan but recently have discovered there are some beers out there that I will drink. I found that out at brewery beckers a few months ago and despite the hour drive have come back a few times, to fill up a growler of beer (considering what I pay for my small bottles of good mead, crazy cheap deal). They have beers of all types and change them out as they go through them, my favorite being the vargdricka, has a spicy flavor to it and very little of that bitter beer taste I don't like. I had the braggot this last visit which is the vargdrika brewed with honey (warning, that jumps it up to 16%) which I loved. I also liked the saison and the jormungandr . I recommend telling a waitstaff what type of beer you like and trusting their choice, they'll give you a little sample fist, so no risk there. The building is beautiful, and there is a great atmosphere to the place, this isn't a watering hole or a bar to get drunk, It's clearly a place to experience beer. Relax and savor it for its unique qualities. The last time I was there they had a bunch of boardgames out for people to play while drinking, encouraging you to hang out. I think this is awesome, it's like a coffee shop, but with beer. Brilliant!

The atmosphere here is great. It is the perfect place for a group of friends. We were a group of 9. The space here is gorgeous, 3 floors that were all recently renovated. However, the beer is not that good. I have high hopes for this place though that they'll continue to improve the beer quality. Check it out and judge for yourself.

For someone who is VERY particular, I can't believe how many beers I like here. Someone is doing a great job with high quality ingredients. The decor and the vibe in this place is amazing. Love it!!

You could not but be impressed with what they have done with this historic building in down town Brighton. Take the time to do multiple taste test on their different craft beers. This is a brewery so do not expect a wine bar or a restaurant thought they do have some snacks available to purchase. Their are plenty of restaurants in the town to deliver food to you if you wish. Three floors of historical beauty is well worth the stop and time.

Break it down, People. Historic restoration leading to an outstanding atmosphere...fabulous. Friendliness of the staff...outstanding. Ability to have 4oz pours to do multiple taste test...very fun. Not much snack choices...adequate enough. The ability to have other restaurants in the area deliver their food to you at Brewery Becker...quite a service. It reminds you of a Pub in the best sense...it is a bit chaotic, a little loud, it should NOT have table numbers or waitstaff in uniforms, it should not have more TVS. It is a great addition to Downtown Brighton which has been able to keep its charm and not get too uppity. Every group of people that we saw there tonight seemed to be having a great time. Go with an open mind and you will have a wonderful experience. It is new place in town but it will evolve to one that has a Soul of its own.

This Brighton landmark (originally the Western House Hotel dates to the 1800's) has been transformed into a gorgeous brewery. Plenty of renovations and improvements went on here. The bars were made with some of the reclaimed, original wood from the interior, and the combo of wood, brick and wrought iron dazzles the eye. The beer offerings rotate with usually 10 being available. There's very limited food here, but you can bring in take out from a local restaurant or even have pizza delivered. Of course I'm not crazy about every single beer, but there are a couple that were quite good and some new things to taste, too. Service can be sketchy during 'prime time' so if you may want to make your first visit during the week. I'm sure that will improve as this new establishment gets its 'sea legs'. A great addition to downtown Brighton. Be sure to check out the biergarten area just outside the bar.

We patiently waited for the Becker to open and have not been disappointed. Like all new businesses, they have a few quirks to work out but every trip there has been great. We have been there almost weekly since they opened and have seen many improvements. The line up of beer is excellent and the brew master always has something interesting coming up. It's a little weird to order food from somewhere else, but it is after all a tasting room, not a restaurant. They now have hot pretzels, a humus plate with pita bread and olives (yum), and a few different types of sausages on a roll. The building is beautiful, the outside patio the best in Brighton with two fire pits for those chilly nights. For those who had less than positive experiences, I would encourage you to give them another try. The employees are dedicated and doing their best to take care of every guest.Oh, and the German Wheat is to die for. No wait, the Heffeweisen ... er .. the Vardgrika ... sigh

I've been to this brwery quite a few times and I can say I've never paid $8 for a beer (I suppose the Oktoberfest beer was $9, but it was also 32 ounces) and I've had lots of samples before deciding on a beer to purchase. It is run like a German brewery though, so if you want a beer you should consider walking up to the bar and ordering a beer. The bartender is a great person to ask about beer types and samples. My only regret is this Brewery is in Brighton and is about a half hour drive from my house.

Had been waiting with great anticipation for this brew pub and bier garden to open. Have to say the product was disappointing and service a bit disorganized. The decor was impressive and a lot of blood and sweat (not to say money) went into this place. Sure hope our next experience is better.

My husband and I, along with another couple visited this establishment after a nice dinner in Downtown Brighton. We are all beer lovers and were super excited to check this place out. The building was STUNNING - the renovations they did were amazing and it had a really cool old Irish Pub feel to it. That's where the good review ends. We sat down, waited 10 minutes for someone to come over and when she did she practically threw 2 menus at us and stood there waiting to take our order. We didn't even have a second to look at the menu and she seemed annoyed when we started asking a few questions about the beer. Most of the beers were over $8 per pint so I asked if we could sample something - she snapped there were no samples and when I offered to pay for a flight of beer, she acted like I shot her dog. My friend and I tried the shandy which tasted like cleaning solution and we couldn't even drink it. She never came back until we decided we had enough and wanted to leave. She never questioned why we had 2 full beers still sitting there and again, threw our tab at us. It was so sad to have such a cool concept for a building/brewery and then have it completely ruined by the worst waitstaff and lack of something as simple as selling flights. If you're going to invest that much money in renovations, it's time to invest in better staff and menu options (i.e., flights) and better tasting beer so your business doesn't tank. Unless those things change, we'll never be back and we'll continue to share with anyone who asks how awful this place was.

We are locals that have been looking forward to the opening. Of course the building is beautiful... But the lack of staff and friendly service is going to kill it. We usually love micro brews. There isn't one I've been to that I wouldn't return to EXCEPT this one. Usually the staff is excited and shows pride in the poured product. We got a rude, your bothering me with questions and no tastes before beer pourer bar tender. The staff needs to wear some sort of uniform or bar shirt at least. It looks like they are not even working. It's sad... Could be awesome. You can tell the owners/manager beens given the place by dad ... I was warned by friends and they were right. Beer too warm also!

Visited becker with a few friends excited to try the new brewery. That turned to disappointment 2 beers in beers had very little flavor actually none. The building is beautiful I hope it doesn't become empty again.

Stopped in on Art Fair weekend so all of downtown Brighton was busy. The building is beautiful with brick, wood, stenciled paint, and the iron staircase. A lot of work was put into the building and the detail is excellent. The downside is the noise level is a little loud because everything is brick and wood. We didn't sit in the courtyard butit looked nice. The beer was good with the Big Butt being my favorite. The export stout and the Northern German wheat beer were also good. We ordered food from the Wooden Spork Food truck and had dinner with our beer. We will be back,

The renovations are beautiful considering everything but the four exterior walls had to be replaced. Nice beer selections with enough quirky brews to satisfy the more adventurous. The service is baffling. They have to get a better system in place for keeping and remembering your tab. How about a simple map of tables at the bar? Baskets with credit cards and table numbers? We were asked three times our last names to match to our tabs; from the same server. They really need some basic snack foods if they are going to rely on the food truck in the parking lot.
