Well taken care of course, and a nice grill room.Went for their 9 & dine, and both the golf and the patty melt were good.A bit of a drive for me, but will definitely go again.
Previously the Charlotte Country Club with new owners, nice clubhouse with adequate space for smaller wedding parties and golf outings, good view of closing holes from dining/bar area as it sits well above the greens on 9 & 18. The course reminds one of some upper Michigan courses with an abundance of both hardwood and evergreens/spruces, a rolling landscape on the edge of Charlotte, Michigan yet seems like off by its own. It plays 6300 from the regular tees if you play the 9 holes twice but only about 5500 from the forward tees and the furthest forward tees just over 5000. That leaves a gap for senior players because the 6300 is too long but the forward tees perhaps a bit too short. All greens slope a lot from back down to front with undulations in between and are generally quite large, in excellent condition. Overall a very good experience with the course the amenities and the staff as well as very reasonable prices.
Haven't played the course, but did hit the restaurant. It's nothing fancy, and quite small, but their burgers and patty melts were OK. My patty melt patty would have benefited greatly from a touch of salt and pepper, but other than that, food was well-cooked and tasty. Menu is small (not a bad thing), and there is a kid's menu. Prices aren't too bad either. We'll definitely be back, and I hope to try the golf course next year.
This was formerly the Charlotte Country Club, a private club. It is now a pay and play course. The course just opened, but it was in pretty good condition considering what the weather has been. The course is par-36 and measures 3310-yards from the black tees. There is one stream that runs across the course and crosses 4 fairways. Some sand bunkers, but not excessive. Just off I-69 at the Charlotte exit next to the Speedway Gas Station
