the best small venue in the united states....i know that is a bold statement, but this place has it all. for starters, it's small....like 500 people....2 is that they get big names all the time.....3 staff is the best...always on their toes......and 4 is the atmosphere.............as one band member once put it....."i go into clubs all over the world...but when you walk into the machine shop, you know u r in a rock club."........................i've been to venues all over this country and a few in europe,,couple in canada some in puerto rico...................and none of them can hold a candle to the machine shop.
My wife and I have gone here to see Sick Puppies and Theory of a Deadman. Walking up from outside looked like something from the movie From Dusk Till Dawn! (lot of bikers hang out here) Both times the atmosphere was a very mixed diverse crowd. Great place to see bands and the sound is pretty good considering the size of this place.Would definitely recommend to others
By far the best place to see bands up close and personal, The beer is priced to sell and the staff is no nonsense, If you light one up on the floor, out the door you go, If you try to push your way past the people that have been standing in the front for hours when the headliner comes on, out the door you go, if you start a fight or mosh, out the door you go….in short you will not have to deal with the A holes, the bouncers will take care of it for you.
I've been here a dozen times, one of the best best places to rock out in a small venue. Awesome environment, great people.
Been here dozens of times. Drive over from Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Well worth the 80min drive. Staff is friendly, it's a sm. club for an intimate show with great bands. Would recommend everyone check this place out:)
Been there twice so far with my friends and it is definitely a place I like returning to! They have great bands and very good staff. Recommend anyone to try it at least once!
You might not believe this but I was driving from Iowa to Buffalo, NY and my friends younger brother forced us to stop and buy him a tee-shirt from The Machine Shop. He said that his favorite band got their start there....Anyway, it was worth the stop. Great bar. Lot's of beer (local too). Cheap concert (Surviving Justin and Mandi Layne). I would recommend this place to anyone who likes dives (no offense to The Machine Shop...it was clean....I'm just saying it gives off a dive feel...Don't worry everyone was friendly...)
