The golf course is hard to beat. Beautiful and sneaky hard with very tricky greens. A few holes have housing, but nothing too close - the rest is up north golf without the up north drive! The staff is very friendly in the pro shop and the bar/restaurant.
This is a beautiful course with a challenging side! It was really well maintained with fairways like carpets and the scenery was gorgeous. But it was very challenging with blind tee boxes, lots of interesting slopes and deceiving greens. We stayed for lunch after our round and the food in the restaurant was excellent! I would play there again in a heartbeat!
This course is a must play. The fairways were perfect, the views beautiful and the service was excellent. Bring a couple extra golf balls because there are a lot of lakes sprinkled around the course...
I was a little bit skeptical when I first booked our tee time online since the pictures on the website portray the appearance of a "neighborhood" golf course which couldn't be further from the truth. I am the type of golfer who absolutely needs to feel as if I'm a million miles away from civilization. This course did pretty well in that category. The greens were wicked fast and everything was beautifully maintained. The beverage cart made its rounds very frequently, about once every three-four holes. There were also plenty of opportunities to stop if needed. Prior to reaching the turn, there is a sign showing the telephone # and menu to call ahead to the clubhouse. My roasted turkey sandwich (delicious) and beverages were ready in their to-go containers when we pulled up to the clubhouse. All of the ice cold water coolers were full and plentiful throughout the course. The course wasn't overcrowded at all, everyone took their time with no one aggressively playing up against our game. I will say that the course is also VERY challenging, plenty of creative Par 5's. Very pleasant experience. On a separate note, one of the primary reasons that we tried this course is because we are planning to join a club over this upcoming winter. It seems as though everyone is extremely friendly at this club; however, the pool and tennis courts were completely empty on a Saturday so I'm not sure how much this club would benefit the family as a whole. I'm not ruling it out yet though.
If you want a great golf course to play in the Flint Michigan area this course is excellent. Situated just north of Oxford Michigan on Hwy. #24 going south off Hwy. #69 Lapeer exit about ten minutes. Was a private course up to two years ago and is in great condition. Do not expect to play really well the first go around , more power to you if you do. I didn't but can't wait to go back and try again. What a beautiful place to play and what a challenge. The staff in the club house , pro shop and elsewhere are very friendly and helpfull and the dining area and food is also excellent. Cost $30.00 with a cart senior rate. what a deal !!
