I live here. The golf course is excellent, designed by Arnold Palmer, and the setting is beautiful. The club is on the small side, but it has a nice shop and restaurant and decent locker rooms. I'm not a golfer myself, but my sons are, and they highly recommend the course. It is well worth playing if you're in southeastern Michigan.
I play this course quite frequently as it's very close to my house. Prices are high if you don't use a coupon/special, which are typically easy to find. Narrow track, so bring extra balls!
Played here several times, usually a few times per year. High quality course. Layout is very fair, but fun. Reachable par 5s (2 of them), lots of room to make mistakes (usually one side of the fairway or the other is the place to miss), and the greens roll like an expensive resort course. It does get some play because it is a nice public course. However, it is the best public course in Western Wayne County. It is set inside a subdivision, but houses are rarely an issue if you play below a 20-22 handicap because they are set far away. Play smart, take what the course gives you, play the correct tees for your abilities (please), don't over-read the greens, then enjoy a pop at the end of the round at the bar. I gave it five stars because it executes exactly what it set out to do. A playable, high-end, fair, public course. Not Oakland Hills, but it does what it was designed to do. If you can play during the week or find a coupon online, the price is more palatable. Enjoy.
This is a wonderful public golf course nestled in between a beautiful Northville subdivision. The hazards and heather will eat up many balls from the amateur players but you will be rewarded when your game is on. I would give this course 5-stars if the pace of play was consistently faster. I encourage the rangers to do a better job of managing the pace of the golfers.
Excellent and well maintained golf course. Give you the feel of playing Up North golf in the heart of Southeast Michigan.
We live close by. This is a beautiful golf course, with plenty of customers always manicured. A beautiful vista.
True test of golf from the tips. Great condition, friendly staff.
I used to live in Michigan and it is GREAT to play a Michigan course again. This course had a fun layout and was in great condition. Service was very attentive with Marshalls coming by very regularly.
We have had our Fundraiser here the past 2 years, Every May, Great course, Very friendly staff, Can't thank them enough, Beautiful, If you're interested in next years event message me back, all the monies go to the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Inst in Detroit for Pancreatic Cancer, I can send you out an email when we start taking reservations next year,
Plays tight. Not a very long course with tough holes and water in places to make it a challenge. Not easy - bring your A game to not lose too many balls. The neighborhood the course is on is fabulous and you will love to wonder who lives here.
I am giving the Northville Hills a 3/5 because the service was very bad, The greens were OK but it was way overpriced.
Good course located in a subdivision, but homes not on top of you. Can get busy and takes long to play 18.
An enjoyable round of golf is made possible by a nice assortment of holes on a well-maintained course. A very good golf experience.
My traveling golf group held our summer tournament here earlier this month. The course was in "exquisite" condition and played fair for all levels of player. Short and long par 3s, reachable and three shot par 5s (I reached one with driver, 9 iron...short hole, big hitter, down wind, missed eagle putt). Don't be put off by houses around the course bc they don't really effect play. My one gripe was inconsistent sand on the holes. So help me, one had sandbox sand in it and I couldn't get a club through. All staff were great. Nothing over the top, just good golf and nice people for a reasonable price.
Our group shot 79,79,82 respectively. Getting passed the ranger on hole one was equivalent to going through security at an airport. Rangers always seemed to drive by giving weird looks. A fairly short course with nice views. The course will be bank owned soon and may not be around long.
