The room is very nice. Very very thin pillows so defiantly bring your own. It has a nice kitchen and has everything you need to get by with easy dinners. The hot tub in the bedroom was very nice.

Founded years ago as the J & J Resort, the Double JJ has evolved into a 4-season, full service resort. Changes in ownership over the years has created some skepticism by the locals, however our visit to the main restaurant in December proved they are back on track. Many opportunities for fun are available throughout the year from golfing and rodeos in the summer to tubing and the water park in the winter.

Mixed couples group. The course was in good shape. Pretty challenging with varying difficulty. The four of us had fun. The staff was friendly. I should have gotten the bartenders name, he was very pleasant. The pro-shop staff was also accommodating.

You will lose your ball in the fairway and first cut next to the green, Green #3 looks like cobble stone because of all the dead spots. Compared to what the course looked like the first few years it was opened it is 3erd rate today

The bed in the small bedroom was too hard. Other than that, we had a great time and appreciated the well-stocked kitchen.

We did a family getaway for 4 adults a preschooler and toddler. Our suite had two nice sized bedrooms, full kitchen, and living room with a fireplace, tv's in each room as well as a full bath attached to each. There was minimal noise even though it seemed like a heard of girlscouts was overhead. It was neat and clean, handy to everything we wanted to do. We appreciated the covered parking garage, walkways to the restaurant and waterpark. Wendy at the front desk was fabulous when I called to make the reservation, and all the staff during our stay were warm and friendly. We had a blast!

This course is beautiful and challenging. If you are a spouse of a golfer you can ride along and enjoy the scenery and/or get some great pictures.

we sayed three days in the doc holliday suite and it was beyond my expectations! much nicer and larger than seems in the website pics. Very western decor tastefully done and with modern flair. Nice to have a full kitchen and we also had a smaill fridge and sink in another room. I would highly recommend the suites. Parking can be a little tough because their is garage parking beneath the bldg and was full most of the time though it was labor day which we were told very busy time for the ranch.

The course was in great shape but was hard to play as a first timer, even with a Garmin gps. Would do things differently if we play again.

Very clean facility. Cozy and Quiet with more than enough room for our large family.

We played early-season the last weekend of Michigan's Spring Break. 18 holes and cart was only $ 35. This is a GREAT value, given the Thoroughbred is a very beautiful course and is renowned for it's challenging holes. Our tee time was for 9:30AM, but delayed an hour due to frost on the course. I would have thought with Spring Break traffic that the course would be jammed. I couldn't have been more wrong. Even with the one hour delay, we were approved to tee off staring the back-9 and didn't see another person the rest of the day. The course was in excellent condition given spring arrived early this year. The fairways and greens were still pretty hard, but it didn't deter from play at all. Highlights were Hole #2, ranked among Michigan's hardest holes (it is!) and Hole #18, a wide sweeping hole around a lake. It was a joy treating my 16 year-old son to a course like this. The only negatives I can attribute are the condition of some of the cart paths. Most of the paths are sufficiently marked, but from Hole #18 to the clubhouse the signs are non-existent. We had to follow some dirt paths back to the clubhouse, which created some anxiety, but we got there. Hopefully they will be working on this before the full season hits.

The rooms were large and clean. Staff went out of their way to be helpful,

We played The Thoroughbred 2 times in June and it was spectacular. It has bent grass tees, fairways and greens and some really cool views from the back tees. Rolling fairways, large greens, lots of wildlife.Put this course on your list of 'must plays'.Dennis & BethDewitt, MI
