We attended the Meet & Greet and Concert for the band Machine Head at the Crofoot. We loved the venue and cannot say enough about what a great place it is to see a show! We were in the front row and the Security staff were top notch. They watched out for my boys and I and let us know when crowd surfers were coming so we could duck and not get injured. One gave me a spare set of ear plugs (I had forgotten mine) AND he gave us a few ice cold bottles of water half way through the set because it was so warm in there. The acoustics were fantastic and everyone seemed to have a great view of the band. Would definitely come back to see another show here! Oh and the coatcheck girl was super friendly and helpful too! :)
This was my first time at The CroFoot, and I have to say I fell in love with the venue. My dad and I were there to see Nick Jonas and It was so nice. The sound in the ballroom blew me away, it was wonderful. We traveled from Ohio, but it was so worth it.Until next time
Enjoyed A Great Big World here after it was moved from Royal Oak. Parking ($5) was a breeze. Security did a great job of checking IDs and marking minors. Would have loved stations to just buy bottles of water near the front of the venue.Arrived about 6:20 to a line of about 30 people outside. Doors did open at 7 PM as stated. Three lines taking tickets to get into the venue. Small rush to get to the front, but nothing unsafe.Never used (nor found) the bathroom.
I have attended over a dozen concerts at this location over the past year and a half, and have never been disappointed. Most cost between $10-15 and offered a showcase of genuine talent and artistry. The staff are friendly, there is always toilet paper and clean stalls, and The Pike room stands out as an intimate gathering in which the artists must walk through the crowd to get on and off stage. The interaction is phenomenal and the events start on time more often than comparable venues. Plenty of street parking usually available on top of having a parking lot across the street. The Crofoot is a treasure for live music fanatics and ambience junkies alike.
Fun little venue. Clean. Friendly staff. Love the brick inside. The smoking area outside is large and has patio furniture. The indoor balcony level was closed during the show I went to but would be so fun when opened!!
Took my daughter and her friend up to Pontiac for a Twenty-One Pilots concert at The Crofoot. We stayed at the Auburn Hills Marriott at Centerpoint (see separate review) which was only 10 minutes away. What a great venue! We arrived about a half-hour before doors opened and there was already a line. I picked up our tickets at the will-call and got in line. The Crofoot serves alcohol, and there were security personnel going through the line. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, that wanted to drink alcohol had to provide a picture ID and they would give you a wrist band. The Crofoot is an old converted building in the downtown district. I believe it has several different sized rooms for concerts, but this one was in the largest. For this concert, I would guess there were maybe 500 people in attendance. It's a two story room with a balcony around the upstairs perimeter. The sound system is phenomenal ("killer")!! There were a couple of bars in this room and another room across the hall with a bar and some TVs. There was NEVER a wait to get a drink. It is a "no smoking" venue but there is an outside patio where smoking is permitted. There was also a coat check.I've been to a lot of concerts in my life, but I loved this place! It was small enough for my daughter to get up close to the group, but large enough where I didn't feel claustrophobic. And did I mention the killer sound system...? I look forward to returning for another group.
Attended a sold out concert where doors were to open at 8pm for very limited seating. We got there before 8pm, and apparently, they opened doors much earlier, as there were no seats left, and with TWO HOURS before the opening act, it was a long wait. There is seating, however, in little bar areas away from the main stage. There was standing room only for the concert, people were constantly either TALKING during the whole show, or traversing back and forth to the exit areas. The sound was rather crummy, especially with all the yammering people. I don't plan on going back, it was definitely not for me!
Most acts are for young people' the very young , So is the music have been to a couple events here that were given privately.
Went and saw Kasabian here 2 weeks back, and what a show!Venue is nice. Not too big not too small, good view of the stage from anywhere inside. The bar was great, fast service and reasonable drinks ($5 for a premium beer). No line ups, staff was fast at the door, bathrooms are new. Parking is $4 right across the street. If a band is playing here that you like, you'll have a blast! Lots of people taking pics and video as well during the show if anyone cares. Pontiac itself is pretty blah, but the venues there are awesome!
