It's nice about 2 miles from downtown Port Huron on Lake Huron. Great for family get togethers and children. Water depth is shallow . Lifeguards and marked swimming area.
Nice location, beautiful view. Plenty of parking and picnic areas. Great place to take a walk and enjoy the scenery.
Very clean, nice place for a picnic or a walk. Lots of very tall shade trees to relax under. Great view of the river and the bridges.
We come up for the Feast of the St. Claire almost every year and really enjoy the location and the great preparations the city puts into this great event each year.
A Great Beach, clean ,gradual slope ,Gotta watch the current if you go beyond the buoys!! Washrooms on site!
We were on on way to New York State from Lake Michigan and we wanted a place to stop before we got to Canada for our kid to get out and run around. This park was perfect. It has a great playground. It also had a vendor, but at 10am on a week day they weren't open. It also has beautiful views of the river and the gigantic bridge that you take to Canada. Altogether a great stop!
A very nice place to relax, enjoy watching the river traffic, and also view the Huron Lightship on display nearby. Available parking nearby and a nice park to jog, read a book, or just enjoy the outdoors.
Pine Grove Park is a lovely area to stop and watch the river and passing ships. The Lightship Huron, the last lightship on the Great Lakes, is located here and is now a museum. There is also a nice veteran's memorial, including an eternal flame. The park is just south of the Blue Water Bridge, so it provides an excellent opportunity to view the bridge, either at night or during the day. When in Port Huron, I always make sure to stop and visit this park.
Pine Grove Park is located along the St. Clair River and the mouth of Lake Huron. One of the prettiest views of the Blue Water Bridges is from the north side of the park where the Huron Lady (a dry docked ship) is placed. There is an old circular brick stage at the south end of the park (a mini ampitheater) which is fun to play with kids. I used to have my son stand in the center and speak ...I would sit on the grass far away and he would be astonished that I could hear him....fun lesson for kids. There are swings, a large wooden play climbing structure with slide, a great baseball field and occasionally a Lions trailer is open for ice cream pop corn or soda. There are a few tables and chairs as well.
