Great for families, drinks are priced right and when the weather is warm enough the outside dining is very pleasant.

Wednesday night, looking for a burger and a beer without all the drama of the polished Birmingham joints. Mt Chalet was perfect-families, 20-something's, couples filled the place. We ate at the bar-good burger and a great offering of Michigan beers on tap and bottled. No drama, and bonus entertainment from trivia night.

The food is very good relative to the pricing, good value and a fun atmosphere. The servers are very friendly and the bartenders typically are as well. The stuffed jalapeno appetizer with chorizo wrapped in bacon is absolutely amazing, the temperature tends to vary in heat at times from fire hot sinus clearing to a nice mild heat, depending on the batch of peppers. Fish tacos here are quite good as well. Not at all pretentious, as some of the neighbors to the north tend to be at a lower cost.
