Always a must-stop when in the area! Love the clothing and nostalgic food and gifts! Certain amount of proceeds go back into the restoration of Detroit as well, which is something all stores in the area should consider.

Beside selling unique products from artists and authors from Detroit, they also have fun and educational bus trips. I have been on several of the tours to Detroit - Visiting Indian Village, Cork Town, The Piquette auto plant and recently The Parade Company. All those tours are masterfully organized and led by Linda Weir - The Somerset Collection Detroit Shop Coordinator.

The one or two times a year that I am at the mall I always make a point to stop here. All the Detroit nostalgia you can handle. Pewabic pottery, Better made chips and T-Shirts, Sanders Chocolate, Velvet Peanut Butter and more. Definitely worth checking out.

A fascinating trip into the world of Detroit, with memorabilia and items unique to the city. It has a photo gallery with pics of some of the highlights of the city, and products that are a Detroit landmark (Vernors, Sanders). Worth your time just to look around, and maybe buy something.
