This series of waterfalls have a lot of character and is great to photograph in Fall. Easy access with a parking lot at the bottom of the falls. It is a fairly easy walk to the upper part of the falls, with a lot of photo opportunities along the way.
Walked to the falls in the sub zero temps! It was so beautiful covered in fresh snow! The trail to the falls is an easy walk and many spots to take pictures and view the falls
I recommend stopping at Bond Falls if you're headed north on Rt. 45 in Pauling. The falls are gorgeous, easily accessible, and quite impressive. Stairs let you view the falls from the top, and a nice boardwalk makes it accessible to everyone to view. Allow yourself at least a half hour, so you can also view the flowage lake for the falls....gorgeous. You can easily pack a lunch and enjoy it on the shoreline.
this was my favorite of all the falls we visited. Don't miss out by staying on the path! We hiked up along the left side of the falls and it added greatly to our trip!
If you only have time to see one Waterfall Bond Falls is the place the go. The main falls are absolutely gorgeous. but dont think that that is it. On the right side of the falls are some stairs be sure to go up them. There are 3 or 4 more sets of smaller falls above and then a pond/small lake at the top of them. We could have spent an entire day there enjoying the beauty.
If you are in the area you need to stop here! It is beautiful! The walking path is very nice. Bring your camera because you will continue to find "that perfect picture" to take.
I gravitate to waterfalls everywhere I go I have many photos and videos to highlight my experiences. Here are a few shots taken the last week of Sept. 2014. The park is about 10 minutes north of Watersmeet, MI. If you are not very mobile, there are plenty of board-walk routes around the falls. The water falls are stunningly beautiful with many cascading layers. I highly recommend this place!
These falls are amazing. Views are handicapped accessible, but be sure to take the time to walk around the area and up some of the adjacent paths if you are able. It was difficult to stop taking pictures as each angle was different than the last.
Totally worth going a bit out of our way on our drive from Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park to Craig Lake State Park. A very impressive set of falls, with trails and overlooks that allow multiple views. My young son loved being able to touch the waterfall from one overlook. And it was huge! Totally unexpected delight.
These falls are stunning -- and seem to go on forever -- take time to take the paths and really explore the many levels -- it's gorgeous every step of the way!
Bond Falls is a miracle of nature and beautiful to behold. It's amazing you are able to walk right along the side of the falls close enough to touch it. Walking further and further up the trail to the highway is a must to make sure you take in all that is this amazing series of waterfalls, cascading to a grand finale at the bottom that will take your breath away!
We visited these falls two years ago and they did not disappoint. I thought they were better than Tacquememon (sp?) falls. Breathtaking views all along the route. Easy walking path to get around.
What a beautiful falls. Followed the boardwalk and some of the trails around the falls. Well worth the drive up there with the colors just starting to change
This was the first stop of our camping trip in UP Michigan. We saw a few pretty pictures online before we got there but it was even better to see the real thing. It's not as famous as Tahquanmenon Falls or Pictured Rocks, but it definitely is something worth to see. Short hiking distance, nice lake-side campsite, and fewer people all made this spot wonderful.
So beautiful and completely unexpected. The photos I had seen don't do it justice. You can get so close to the falls, both at the top and the bottom, without fear of falling or even getting wet. It is absolutely spectacular.
