Over the last few years, we have gotten to know some of the staff there. They are friendly, with a good sense of humor. For how busy it is on a race weekend, they do a great job of keeping bathrooms clean, and trash in paddock sites empty. They have a good track to test your sporty ride.
This was a great weekend! As part of a race team family, this was a great track and weekend. Would love to see this continue every year!
Participated in an "instructional weekend" with Hooked On Driving. The course and grounds at Gingerman are excellent, everything is very well maintained. The Gingerman Staff was very professional, courteous and most accommodating. Looking forward to returning soon.
Hey! It's South Haven for Heavens sake! So, you can ride the carts for $5 a person for around 5 minutes. We went with a big group. Same thing on the bumper boats. $5 for about 5 minutes. LOT'S of fun! (You'll wish you could those out on the big lake for some real fun!) The have putt-putt golf and are very nice. If you get to rowdy on the carts, they just shut them off and ask you to leave. Busy on the weekends.
This was a nice venue for driving a performance vehicle around a track. There were good viewing spots from small stands as well as access to the control tower for viewing and pictures. The restrooms were clean.
Just went for Central States Ferarri Track Day. A few years back, they charged $5 to watch, the last couple years, it's been $10. That's a little steep since there isn't actually any real racing going on.The layout is nice. The pits, parking, bathrooms, pavillion and snack bar are all right together, so you don't have to walk all over for any of it. All of it looks to be in really good shape. There are no run down buildings here.If you are interested in cars or motorcycles, you are going to be able to get up close to them and watch some pretty good action. It is a road course, so there isn't a spot where you can see the whole track. It's a good idea to bring a jacket, it's close to Lake Michigan and it gets windy. Bring suncreeen or you will get fried. Doesn't hurt to bring a cooler with cold drings and snacks too.
The track is a tight turn, twisting road race course, with a couple of good straights. Most corners are 90 degrees or more, that keeps the speeds down. We had temperatures in the 40's so the track felt slippery. The track has several hills to view the racing from. There are a couple of sandwich type grill for eats.
Gingerman raceway is well maintained and a beautiful facility for racers. Plenty of showers and modern bathrooms. Great selection of food at the lunch bar. The Pavillion is a great place for racers and workers to gather out of the weather.
