michigan women's historical center

The museum is housed in an old residence. It is not overly large, but the display space is fully utilized. Many photographs of Michigan women who added to our history, technology and welfare. The price of admission is very low. Worth the time to stop, look and read about the women we owe so much to.

This is a collection of pictures and placards describing famous Michigan women. There are a few surprises in there.

I have to admit this was a chance to venture into a very large house. It was just a fee bucks to go in, however the displays were limited but impressive. Many inductions of famous women who pioneered and continue to change the face of technology. STEM Science Technology Engineering and Math are the focus of the hall of famous.e. Coherently there is a small but very nice art display done by Frances Dodge. Mostly landscapes, he was rather talented.A lot of information, tons of reading and you can't go upstairs.On a sidenote, the house sits on a property akin to the Coolley Gardens, a privately sponsored garden with exquisite specimens of unusual flora. A great place for photographs, weddings, or just a picnic. There are picnic tables here and there. It's quiet and a very pleasant stroll.
