We absolutely love Kerrytown we visit often after finding it last February while visiting a lovely shop called Grateful Dreads such a lovely place I will visit for years to come
I liked the variety of small specialty shops I particularly enjoyed the spice merchant,. The farmers market had quite a variety of items available, even in winter. Be prepared to stand and eat if you order food, because seating is limited. Monahan's has the best fish and chips. Lines were long at Zingerman's deli and prices were high. Quaint little shopping district.
Great place to get fresh vegetables, seafood, Dim-sung, a latte, antiques, etc. The atmosphere is high energy and fun people. The Ann Arbor Farmer's market takes place right outside Kerrytown's doors every Wednesday & Saturday in the summer.
Decorated with sights and sounds of Christmas, although the traditional offerings of a farmers market were lean, there were many vendors selling wreaths, hand-made Christmas decorations and baked goods. I was even able to buy a late season Empire apple to enjoy while walking around and heading in to the shops inside which range from specialty grocery to paperwares to spices. It offers a bit of something for everyone who has an interest in food, but is limited in pricing. Ended up heading to the public parking to avoid a ticket.
I like this region of the city, but when you're driving into it as you get into the city you'll likely have to get out of your car and walk around as you arrive there because just a few blocks later you'll have already driven out of the area, it passes so fast... Kerrytown district is actually three blocks by five blocks at most. I do suggestion parking the car and walking around on foot and if it's too cold on you I suggest going there in summer instead of winter. Enjoy!
Fun boutiques in the area around Zingerman's Deli. We saw a farmer's market but not much was for sale on a cold December weekday. The shopping downtown on Main St is a little bit better than Kerrytown.
Framer's Market, Zingermans, Monahan's Sea Food, Dexter Bakery fritters, Sweetwater Cafe, and Kerrytown shops; it has it all. Easy parking, old cobblestone roads, a ton of charm!
A wonderful collection of shops and vendors. You will find everything from the wreath for your front door, the roast on your table, wine for your guest, and a new outfit for you. The level of customer satisfaction is felt through out the entire market.
Quaint shops......everything is a little different......very enjoyable stop. Crafty and artsy. Very friendly shop keepers.
An awesome and unique place to shop. Farmer's Market days are so much fun mingling with the crowds and tasting and seeing produce from local artists and farmers. Mudpuddles is a fun store to visit with kid's and grandkids. The music venue has some great artists performing in an intimate setting.
We went on a Sat. morning. The place was very busy. There were a lot of local growers with their wares. There were also a lot of venders with produce from far away.
Kerrytown is essentially a shopping mall, but it holds a collection of unique shops. Worth the visit if you are in Ann Arbor
I always include the Farmer's Market in my visit to Kerrytown so it is always a double pleasure to visit this Ann Arbor enclave. Interesting gift/art shops in Kerrytown, a lovely market, restaurant, and coffee shop are all packed into one pleasant location.
Kerrytown, like any shopping place, has gone through many changes. These days, there is enough to get me to go to Kerrytown on a regular basis. Sparrow Market, 16 hands, V2V, Found, Mudpuddles, Elephant Ears, all worth the trip. The building is cool, historic and the epicenter of that part of town. The only places I usually skip are: Sweetwaters and The Lunch Box, only because I'm not a vegan and I really like butter. Also, this franchise of Sweetwaters is sub par and run by kids. Owners not present often and quality is poor, place is dirty all the time.
We visit the farmers market every time we come to Ann Arbor. There is also a craft fair on Sundays and I have bought something there every summer! The nearby shops are also good with an excellen spice shop upstairs.
