I entered the Quadrangle through its main arch and proceeded at a slow pace towards what looked to me like a Victorian cathedral. Respectfully, I trespassed the first and then the second set of doors, and suddenly found myself inside one of the most magnificent cathedrals of knowledge that I had seen.
Stopped by on our way to the museum. Locals said that Hollywood asked the dean if they could film Harry Potter here, he said no. The grounds and building are wonderful. Worth the quiet walk in and around the building. Locals say that its the best in autumn. Not a real tourist area as some areas are closed for law students only.
Library is so quite, artistic and comfortable besides resources; one practising law must visit. A separate section on clinical law is also earmarked.
If you are visiting Central Campus at the University of Michigan, you won't be disappointed if you take time to see the law school buildings. They are built in the English Gothic style. Both the interior and exteriors of the buildings are gorgeous. Paneling and stained glass windows abound. There is a definite feel of centuries old European buildings.
walked through on brisk January day with group of prospective students and parents. The Quad is serene with classic architectural features. Law library is also accessible to public and worth a walk through but make sure to maintain appropriate library Etiquette.
My daughter, a senior at University of Michigan, took me here on a walking tour of the campus. Having been to law school myself, I couldn't believe that a law school actually has dorms, and not just any dorms but ones in old, beautiful buildings. What a lovely place. The squirrels added charm.
Found this after driving around the campus looking for it. It is in a great neighborhood, worth driving through to get there just to see the local culture. The Quadrangle is set in a beautiful square surrounded by some awesome architecture. Great spot for some pictures and just taking in the scenery!
If you have kids along or grown-ups who love Harry Potter, stop by the Law Quad. It is a great picture spot and although not England, looks very Harry Potterish. It is a nice place to lounge on a summer day with a cool drink and good book. Not many universities in the US can top the look and feel.
It was nice to walk in the Law Quad on a cold Ann Arbor morning, watching the orange hued squirrels collect nuts for the winter.
Library is not to be missed. Lovely buildings surround...short walk into this area in the south campus
If you are ever in Ann Arbor, you must make a stop at the Law School Library. And just north of there is the UM Art Museum. And just north of there is Hill Auditorium. Those three architectural masterpieces are within 500 yards of one another and unequaled on any other campus in the world!
Please make it a point when visiting Ann Arbor to tour the Law Quad and especially the Law Library. Take in the architectural details and the majesty of the buildings. Shhh! Be quiet in the the Law Library!
For a minute I thought I was back in Oxford. The architecture is beautiful and check out inside the law library and study area. Wow.
Go, wander, feel smarter just by being there. Go in autumn and you will think you are in another part of the world as the trees are majestic and the architecture very beautiful.
It is like being in jolly old England. The architecture is solid like the Law (is suppose to be). They have added new buildings and added a covered courtyard The library is massive and Harry Potter would be comfortable in the hall and the dining room.
