It tells the story of the German heritage here in the US. Just wish it was larger .A good place to go for a first visit.
A comprehensive history of the German settlers who populated the area. This small museum uses self-guided interactive displays to give voice to Frankenmuth's past. Very well done.
Easy in and out. Could not find family bathroom. We loved the gift shop! Purchased some cute red white blue raggedy anns.
Learn and see the first settlers that founded Frankenmuth. See all the changes through out the years. Learn all the who, what, why. and how the peolple did to make a community!
Great way to spend 30-45 minutes in Frankenmuth. They had some interesting hands-on exhibits, good history on the German missionary and settlement, and at the end a special exhibit. At the moment, this exhibit is Bread Baker to Bread Maker: The Changing Role of Women! $2 to get in and a nice little gift shop with local goods at the end.
At a cost of 5.00/family or 2.00 pp, this also gives you entrance to 2nd museum. Well layed out and informative with seasonal exhibitions. Fun activities for kids. Gift shop on site. Self guided tours with the push of a button.
i like museums that have local history tied to them. this one is very frankenmuth oriented which was great.
They have wonderful items you can buy from Books to pictures etc. We went to this place twice. They have so much to see and wonderful prices.
It is interesting to walk through and hear about Frankemuth. This is a very fun town and learning the history is a bonus!
Great little museum. Many interesting artifacts. Nice audio presentations, not too long. Plenty to read if you want to get in depth facts. I was the only one in the place, so i took my time, husband napped outside on porch. Personally didn't care for last room or two of exhibit ..something about great women in history, I just breezed through that portion. Price is right at 2.00. Friendly staff.
My friend and I went in just to check it out. The museum is very cheap and offers student discounts (possibly military also, but I'm not sure). It is small but there is a LOT of information in that little place. You can listen, read, and touch/play with the information and things throughout the museum. It is really neat and definitely has tried to find ways to keep kids interested while parents are strolling through at the same time.
Very well laid out and interesting artifacts about the history of Frankenmuth. Inexpensive-$2 gains you entry to this and the Brewery museum along the river. It doesn't take long to go through it so it won't eat up a large portion of your day (about 45 min - 1 hr., depending on how much you read).
If you want to know how Frankenmuth got started this is very informative! It only cost 2.00. It doesn't take very long to go though and if you go though this museum you get to go though the brewery museum for free!
The museum is educational and affordable. Stuff for kids to do while walking through, also nice gift shop at the end.
What a great place! With a coupon - it only cost us $2 per couple! This was informative and well presented. Excellent - we learned so much. Everybody that visits Frankenmuth should go here, seriously.
