The winery is pretty, and the wine is average but high priced. The reason we continue to frequent the winery is because of the entertainment, Sax On The Beach. They make it fun and a social event with audience participation and community spirit. The regulars have a feeling of family. They play on the weekends during the summer season and we only go when they are playing.
We stopped by on a beautiful fall day. I had higher expectations of the place. It was an average experience. Several of the wineries that I've been to have a nice "shopping" area, that was lacking here. You couldn't look at the wines before you bought it, you had to order it from the cash register. Not bad, just different. The grounds were beautiful. We bought a Groupon and it was well with it. It came with an appetizer and we got the bread, it was really good. We sat outside and enjoyed the view and bread and picnic that we packed.I think next time we will try another winery in the area.
Great wine. Friendly owners. Perfect stop! The wine tasting was really interesting and a nice way to start an evening.
My husband and I took a Missouri wine trip over the weekend. We stumbled across Seven Springs. It is quite a drive but at least it is a paved road. The trip was worth it. The grounds are beautiful, the two level patio area is breath taking! And the wines are amazing, had to buy a whole case of the Norton. We will return next year for more.
My sister and I took our mom there for her birthday and we weren't too impressed. There is one counter for tasting that about 6 people can stand at. Making tasting a VERY slow process. It was very warm and uncomfortable in there, they should have had the a/c on. The outside deck is nice but nothing more than that. I've only been to a couple wineries and this one doesn't compare. We wouldn't go back. Disappointing.....
$8 wine tasting and you get the glass or 3 tastings for free! Great atmosphere and good people. Wine is not to expensive, either. Brought our kids with us and don't suggest this place for them. However, going back tomorrow for the Blues, Bays and BBQ festival. Activities for the kids so it should be more interesting for them. Looking forward to the wines again!
We went for wine tasting and had a really fun couple pour for us. Most of the wine was good and we all found some to buy. Three tastings is free, or If you taste 8, there is a fee but you get to keep the glass which is a great memory of the day. They were all set up for a wedding in the afternoon and it was beautiful. What a great location. You can order some food and buy some wine and sit outside and enjoy the scenery. We had a perfect day.
Has a private event in the afternoon. The ceremony was beautiful. The reception was in the room off the main visitor area and everything seemed crowded. The area was still open to the public. The food was sustenance. It seemed as though the appetizers served were straight from the freezer while they served gourmet sandwiches in the visitor center.
She was adept on all the different kinds of wine, where produced, and what kind of grapes. Very much personality too! We also had some appetizers....excellent. Got a good coupon for here on Groupon.com!
This place was hard to find and the wine was not very good. The service was alright and the outdoor seating was very nice with a good view.
My husband and I love to visit wineries. Some places call themselves a winery and there is no sign of grape vines anywhere or they are basically just a "wine store," Seven Springs is the real deal! You drive up through a meandering road through the vineyard. Once arriving at the top you are treated to a great sampling, food if you like or a plate of cheese and bread. You can then sit outside and look out over the Missouri hills. Absolutely beautiful! The whole atmosphere was perfect! Recommend it for a relaxing day!
Fantastic scenery and even better wines. We really enjoyed our afternoon at the winery. On Saturday evenings they have live music. The tasting was a great deal ($8 to taste all of the wines and you get to keep the glass). The owner Mike was a wonderful host! The wines ranged from $16 to $26.
We went for the 12th of July fireworks show and it was one of the best experiences of our lives. They were so accommodating and let us have our dog out on the patio and even brought her a bowl of water. We had one of the best meals ever, the spinach artichoke dip is to die for. The fireworks show was the best one we have ever witnessed. There were upwards of 25 fireworks going on at once that lit up the entire visible sky. It lasted about 45 minutes and were set off down in a valley so they went off right at eye level. It was truly magical. Not to mention the wine is phenomenal. My favorite is seven heaven and my boyfriend loves their Norton. One of our favorite places that we frequently drive an hour and a half to visit.
We had to change the location of our wedding a week before it was supposed to happen. Seven Springs Winery had a cancelled wedding for that night so we were so lucky that they were available. Mike, the owner, was so accommodating and worked with us so well that everything turned out perfect! The food was amazing, and the staff was just so nice and they made everything go so smoothly. They even let us light our sky lanterns that we had planned on doing. I would definitely recommend this place for weddings or any event. Their wines are tasty and the staff is so friendly. It really feels like home here. We now have such a unique place to celebrate our anniversary.
We just redeemed our groupon for a free tasting and appetizer. The place is quaint and beautiful. We ended up ordering a bottle of their dry white wine with the bread and 3 dipping sauces...it was amazing. This is a great place to visit for a quiet peaceful setting with great wine and good food.
