belmont vineyards & winery

We were attending a special event which included live music. We enjoyed wine tastings and a wonderfully prepared early meal at their restaurant. Since we stayed until late in the evening, we also shared a wonderful small pizza from their wood-fired brick oven!!! Everything was wonderful.

If you like Missouri sweet wines, or the oddities of Norton blends, this might be ok for you, but none in my group liked what they were serving. They had no Bella Rosso for us to taste. The place has a nice vista, albeit with the highway in the near distance, but the loud music blaring from loudspeakers for no-one's apparent pleasure, prompted us not to eat here after all, but to drive on to Cuba.

We have been here multiple times since they opened. We have been for multiple reasons including a wedding and just a night with friends for dinner. The wine is some of our favorite. The staff is always extremely kind and accommodating. Definitely one of the better wineries I have been to!

They had outdoor seating that was very noisy and indoor seating that was good. Salads were excellent but the spinach artichoke appetizer was just ok. Stuffed beef tenderloin was very tender but the dish was bland. Bread pudding was very good. Overall a good dinner

Located on the old Route 66, the good news it's has great access to Interstate 44; the bad news is it's close to Interstate 44. My wife and I enjoyed a pleasant Friday afternoon here. First we went to the tasting room and started on their dry reds. Their Norton was quite good, but when tried the "Bella Rosso" we were done. It was fantastic! We enjoyed a bottle while sitting outdoors soaking up the late afternoon sunshine and taking in the view over their lawn and the tree covered hills beyond. We started out listening to music on our phone but soon the winery was playing music thru speakers and we didn't even notice the highway traffic noise. Eventually we had dinner outside, my Salmon was quite good as was my wife's wrap. We really had an enjoyable time, with outstanding drink and good food.
